| I don't like that at all. Cuthbo hasn't looked this good in years. Could it be he was just playing with injuries?
Either way I would still like to see him leave

| Probably doesn't mean anything but the YEP is back to referring to Agar has the interim coach again after several weeks of calling him first team coach.

| Let's hope he is just interim coach. I've said many times and I still don't believe hes the right man. We should go out and get the best there possibly is.

I'd qualify this and add 'for Leeds right now'. We can't afford another Furner, i.e. someone well-qualified but who doesn't want to compromise with the cultures in place at the club or doesn't fully understand what will be successful in the British game (well, at least that's my reading of why things didn't work out).

| Furner probably understood the culture all too well. It was horrible. He might have gone about things badly but someone had to. Perhaps it would have destroyed any coach?

| Things must have gone on that we will never find out .Surely Furner will have had the recruitment and retention plans when he sat down with KS and GH and came up with his own point of view and all agreed on the plan. I think they were all shocked at the disastrous start like many of us were ,still are .I will be surprised if Agar gets the job and as soon as we are safe I think there will be an announcement

I think the 2 key words there are "can't afford". 2018 we paid off McD. Furner is still in the country and whatever settlement is agreed, leeds will not have budgeted for paying 2 head coaches this year, with crowds down and other income likely to be the same, hence why agar steps up and fills the void. I'm sure agar is being paid more than his other role but we have a part time assistant coach to go with him.
It's the cheap as chips option for now.
No idea if anyone is lined up but personally I doubt it. GH recent article in YEP, where he talked about recruitment implied to me that it will be Lui and Myler in the halves next year.

| Myler is under contract next year still I think, so unless we can find someone else interested in taking him we’re tied up again. He could probably do a job for another lower half of the table team.
I imagine Myler is on decent money and it does seem expensive getting rid of all these McD era legacy issues (plus now whatever settlement Furner will be due).
Some fans do seem to think we have unlimited funds but of course that’s not the case. We could well be looking at at least one more year before we can get the clean slate we need.

Agree. Look how long it took Wigan to sort themselves post Farrell etc. They got themselves into a hole giving average players like Robinson/Brown/Ainscough etc bigger money than they should, picked the wrong coach a couple of times and took them several years to get sorted.

| The sleeve needs to beware lots of season ticket holders paying over £30 + per game not happy with the club selling the same seats for£17 and kids £7.
Many fans saying that’s what they will do next yer pick the games also lots of old season ticket holders doing it this year because of the north stand fiasco last year.
Season tickets are seeming less and less appealing games on Thursdays and sundays that you can get on sky.
Beware sleeve the writing is on the wall

| A mate of mine bumped into Powell yesterday. Powell had had a few beers but he said Leeds had approached him which he obviously turned down. Says to me we weren't looking at Agar permanently dont know whether that's changed.

| This is a decision that needs to be taken as soon as possible. We are going into the toughest six games of our lives. Ian Watson is a really good shout and I personally believe he would take it. It’s a much more secure position than he’s probably at at Salford as it’s a club slowly running out of money. But are going to with that, or are we looking overseas at Demetriou or Walker brothers.

How's that.
Watson has been head coach of Salford since 2015, in that time Leeds have had McDermott, Sinfield, Furner and Agar.

Agreed. Sinfield and Hetherington are fully to blame if we go down. Wane is available NOW. Its bloody madness. But It's too late now imo to change it though an argument could be made for a new coach bounce. I think weve got enough but only just..

| Isn't the problem still that we've just got too many poor players? I do think we should have gone for smith and agar probably isn't the man, but lots of the squad have been rubbish under 4 coaches.

If the 3 marquee player rule comes in and you sign maloney this would just mean less money to spread around the rest of the team. Almost 1/4 of your cap on 3 players and lots of dross around them
