| Quote ="KaeruJim"I'll be watching Myler and Cuthbertson closely this next few games. We shouldn't fall in love with them for a couple of good performances when they've generally been missing in action all year. Myler's end of set options have been terrible and his kicking game awful all year. I don't think he offers enough going forward either. I can't argue with how he's been playing since Lui came in however.
I guess all we do know for sure is that some of the changes seem to be working, and at the moment it looks less likely we'll be left standing when the music stops!'"
This is the first time since he joined us tgat he’s actually got a proper 5 playing with him, and it shows. lui has impressed me but Ive always been a fan of his

Lui is playing on the wing??? Cant believe I didnt notice that.
Pretty sure Myler played with Ryan Hall who I would class as a proper 5 if I'm honest.

| Agree with everything what has been said on here, since Lui came you can see him doing the organising getting players in position, looking at Myler to his credit he has improved since we have had this chap, maybe we expected too much of him trying to do everything on his own.

And on their forums the Salford fans are now less vocal about the qualities of thier new signing, who apparently needs to lose a stone and isn't working well with Hastings.

| Sam Tomkins expressed surprise and reservations about Lardy when we signed him iirc , didn't exactly dig him out , but did seem rather bemused .

| Lui's out of shape as well. Sadly that's not Lolohea's only problem. Its incredible how much better we look with a halfback who just gets into the right position and can kick.
I don't think Myler gets a free pass either. For an international halfback to look so clueless, particularly on the last tackle is terrible.

| Agree with both the above.
Yes, he is capable of brilliance sometimes, but he's had more than enough chance to stamp his authority on games this year and just failed to do that, particularly with last tackle options.

He would be an expensive junior coach but if that’s a way to release the quota spot and remain cap compliant, worth considering.
His form has been outstanding last few games but there is a decision to be made in there.
Not sure which prop you mean.

Of course you could. It obviously depends on the team around him but he's twice the player of a Matty Smith, who did alright.

| I dunno. Maloney at Leeds plus one more good prop and Leeds could be title contenders again, you’re looking at a very good side then with some talented youngsters not far from debut too - several full England internationals of the future IMO.
I’d live with a Lui-Maloney-McLelland rotation in the halves.

Cuthbo has an English parent and doesn't count on quota. His dad is from Warrington I believe.

Don’t have a name, but Amor would be available for example.

| We have “solid” props coming out of our ears already. What we need is an aggressive impact prop - someone who fulfils a similar role to Barrie McDermott, and someone who the opposition worries about.
I like Ava, and I think Holroyd could be special in another year or two, and Oledski has plenty of improvement in him. It’s the second starting prop for me.
Amor would be in the same bracket at Singleton, Peteru or Crosby (when fit). Cuthbo has been playing well for the last three weeks - if the staff feel he can maintain that through next year too fair enough, but I’m not convinced from the last couple of seasons.

| Maybe hes been told just that, you are playing for your contract next year.
He's leaner, quicker and fitter than previous seasons whether you see this as a positive or negative im not sure, he's lost some of his sparkle but seems to have recently had either a rocket up the arris or he's realizing that if you dont shape up in this team you are going to be rinsed out.
Maybe its like Bailey, when playing for a contract he played out of his skin, once he had that contract he went off the boil.
