Dire performance pack out muscled again and Frswley not good enough in such a key position

Frawley was by no means the worst offender. Ackers also in a key position and absolutely dire; ditto Connor. Croft showed some glimpses but no consistency, as ever.

Absolutely braindead in attack ackers and fraudley should be binned off if Arthur sticks to his talk of responsibility and performance. ECW needs to get over his jetlag quickly cos Handley will be targeted all season based on that effort. Connor to 7 when miller gets back

Handley back to the wing, SOS to the Momster. He was never that bad defensively.

I understand people hate Frawley but he was our second best spine player after Croft today. Not that this is saying much on the performance we've just been subjected to.

Gannon's showing was a positive. He seemed like one of the few forwards capable of breaking the line.

Honestly think thats our lot for the season, once again all preseason just more talk cannot deliver. This side is dire and is no where near good enough snd never will be. Be a long season to finish 7-8th again

A backline reshuffle with Miller and the new guy coming in, and Jenkins and Jarrod in the pack, could make a big difference. The worrying thing is that we should have had enough in the squad to beat the promoted side in game 1, assuming we have any ambitions to improve on last season.

Jenkins was deemed to be 5th choice prop I'm not sure how that changes much but mik won't be playing next week

Wakefield were solid and showed they’d be ok this year. Our defensive structure on both edges was badly undone in the first half . Handley had a steep learning curve but the other edge was just as guilty. I thought Frawley and Ackers were particularly bad, and for me Gannon has to start over Bentley based on that showing. Ditto O’Connor if fit for Ackers. I’d also think about putting hall back on the left now Sivo is gone

Ive just typed a long rant and the forum reloaded. Can’t be d typing it again. Im fuming, im not saying we shouldn’t have got rid of Rohan but can you see us scoring some of those trys we did early on last year? I can’t Concentrated on Fitness to the detrement of actually playing rugby.

Nothing positive to take from today at all. Stripped out wide from very early on in the game, Wakey were far too good without actually having to do anything spectacular. They just played a really solid, structured game. We were dire with and without the ball. BA will be earning his corn this week that's for sure. Anyway, on to Salford. Can't wait.

I think by keeping it simple he means by having some direction to our plays rather than going down blind alleys and trying to pass our way out of trouble. Let's not mention Rohan please, I feel sick enough. We are the man u of rugby league

The complete lack of control and any attacking shape was very worrying. One man out, headless chicken stuff on attack. Last tackle plays were poor and our general kicking was also rubbish. Frawley offers nothing and Ackers has all the limitations of Brad Dwyer without the pace or enthusiasm. After a whole pre-season , we looked just as limited as last season. Time for O’Connor and Sinfield to push the second raters at 7 and 9 out of the team

To be fair, it is only one game (so far). Remember the wallopping Cas gave us early doors in 2017? McDermott era, not Rohan Hopefully Arthur lives up to the hype, not the myth of his namesake

Well it’s round 1 and it already feels like it’s a long old season ahead, not much to take out of that performance that is positive. Same old poor skill and discipline in attack and defence it’s a recurring cycle of S*** For me Handley can’t stay at centre he’s a winger and he showed that today with his horrendous defensive display. ECW has to come in there because I’m sure he can offer more there and Handley can take his left wing spot back. Connor was poor after showing some promising signs in pre season, Frawley continues to be a waste of a halfback and quota spot when Miller is back I’d personally have him at full back and Connor or Sinfield in halves with Croft because again we won’t miss anything by not having Frawley there. Ryan Hall was the only player for us who could come off the pitch with his head up after game, how the calibre of player in a Leeds shirt has drastically fallen around him.

Though I thought Croft tried hard. Cannon looked good We’ve issues at centre scrum half and we still look light in the pack. I’ve certainly not missed watching this team. Congrats to Wakey though, fully deserved their win.

Went to the game today in high hopes of something better than the last few years have served up. That was soon shattered by the atrocious display today.. Some takeways for me.... Frawley should be gone - can't kick for toffee and offers less than i would on the pitch Ackers - one of the most dissapointing signings in the last few years. Expected so much more Handley - is not a centre and never will be.. back to the wing please Croft - another dissapointing signing who i don;t think is worth the wage bill or quota spot Riley Lumb - cracking effort under the high ball. A good player Connor - will give him time. If we play the new guy at centre and Lackie at FB then i would play him at 7 with Handley back on the wing Cameron Smith - kills plays and well over rated. Not impressed. Certainly not captain quality. I want a leader who takes the battle to the opposition. That is not him. As for the rest... mediocre. Hall ran it in well, but looked like he showed his age today. I thought we were on the wrong side of a few decisions : the first Wakey try and the one when the ball pooped out from COnnor on the line All in all, this was as bad a performance as i have watched in the last 2 years. Wakey deserved the win, more structure and guile than us. Tackled harder and ran harder..

LOT of talk this preseason about accountability and doing the right things. That team must’ve had their fingers in their ears the entire time. Absolutely shockingly bad first game out. No intensity, no control just the same old headless chicken routine. We’ve players in major positions that look and play like they don’t want to be here.
