Just had a look at that season's matchday programmes but the information was less comprehensive than nowadays so can't find any printed evidence.

England Academy's first ever triumph over the Australian Schoolboys in 2002 with Bailey taking out the Man Of The Match in the 1st game of a 2-0 series win. And sadly the passing of a Leeds legend who was a vital member of the last GB side to win an Ashes series, staring in all three Tests including a brilliant performance as a make-shift full-back in the decider.

I know the Academy game would have taken place on the 22/23 June 2002 but sadly the week after was an away game so there is no programme for that week and the next home programme doesn't contain any information on the Academy game at Widnes.
