Look at the colour of his boots in the photgraph. The next PFU meeting will have to discuss his expulsion for multiple offences.

Sure I remember him putting a bomb up at Headingley against Hull FC in 2005. Possibly mistaken but thought he got the ball on the last play and looked around in hope before putting boot to ball!

Possibly that then. I just remember him giving it a right whack in the air

| I think the Leeds team for next season is obvious now:
1. McGuire
2. Jones-Bishop
3. Bailey
4. Hall
5. Chisholm
6. Hardaker
7. Lunt
8. Delaney
9. Sinfield
10. JJB
11. Kirke
12. Moore
13. Smith
It should happen.

2005 appears to have been Bailey's break out year in the attacking kicks department according to these - Super League regular Rounds only - www.engagesuperleague.co.uk/stat ... eason=2012
One of them coming in the home Hull game in '05 is a good call - possibly qalifying for an assist also as it sounds like Senior may have scored off it:
[size=150The best of British[/size
YEP - 4th June 2005
[iRampaging Leeds Rhinos centre Keith Senior was today hailed as the best of British. Senior took his try tally for the season to 15 with a superb hat-trick in last night’s 34-14 Headingley win over Hull. And admiring coach Tony Smith was left searching for superlatives after his Great Britain ace’s power-packed display. “Keith was outstanding,” said Smith. “He was back to his brutal best. He was almost unstoppable at times. He is a powerful big thing and he really lifted us I thought. He had a couple of weeks off and he has come back fresh and full of beans. =#0000BFHe got on the end of some stuff as well, one of which was a Ryan Bailey kick. I think he’s kicked out of the front-rowers’ union!” Asked if there is a better centre in the British game, Smith said: “I wouldn’t think so. I would pick Keith first in my team as a centre out of any available centres – followed by Chev Walker and Chris McKenna on occasions.” Last night’s win lifted the Rhinos four points clear at the top of engage Super League. Do you keep Academy records? I never knew Bailey had been a goal kicker in his early days.

Good to discover new things - such as the MP for Bradford West realising Bradford Bulls beating Leeds Rhinos is a big deal these days.

I noticed that too, defensively we had JP, Bailey, Delaney and Ablett lined up in the back line at one scrum.

| What I love about this, is there are pics with clear copyright text on them and no permission to use and the mods do nothing. Put a link over to YouTube and it's quickly killed off.

Just had a look at that season's matchday programmes but the information was less comprehensive than nowadays so can't find any printed evidence.

| Sorry I couldn't help but I like to be able to personally verify the stats I keep and that would have been impossible for me to do below 1st grade level.
It doesn't help re goal-kicking but this is what the Leeds coach had to say on his debut via the YEP - 28th June 2002
[iPowell said: “He has been exceptional in the Academy. He will probably get a chance this week and it will be great for him. He is a good quality kid. He is big and strong and physically he is a match for anybody. He will go well, I’m sure.”[/i

| Still searching and renewing a few memories along the way like - Leeds' 7 Academy Championship successes in a row including 5 straight GF wins - someone enquired about this on here, possibly sometime last year. England Academy's first ever triumph over the Australian Schoolboys in 2002 with Bailey taking out the Man Of The Match in the 1st game of a 2-0 series win. And sadly the passing of a Leeds legend who was a vital member of the last GB side to win an Ashes series, staring in all three Tests including a brilliant performance as a make-shift full-back in the decider.
__________
There was this just before the Challenge Cup Final V Bradford in 2003:
[i”I have come a long way and I can’t wait to play in the final,” Bailey said. “It will be by far the biggest game of my career and I can’t wait to get out there. A year ago I would never have believed it. =#0000BF Last year I set some goals and one of them was to get a first-team spot and play at Christmas. I never expected to play all season. I played 12 games last year and that was a dream come true. I started playing when a friend got me down when I was 10 or 11. It has gone on from there but I never expected big things like this. I never thought I’d be playing in a cup final at 19. I’ll enjoy it but I’m just trying to treat it like a normal game. I’m just going to go out and play to the best of my ability – I won’t change my style or anything."[/i
Just a pity he doesn't say whether or not he kicked them.

| I know the Academy game would have taken place on the 22/23 June 2002 but sadly the week after was an away game so there is no programme for that week and the next home programme doesn't contain any information on the Academy game at Widnes.

Does it mention that you're not allowed to criticise the moderation process in the AUP?

| The day after Bailey was released from a Young Offender's Institute (after serving two months of a nine month sentence) there was this piece of wishful thinking from the Bulls media guru:
[iBradford Bulls have dismissed reports that they are close to signing former Rhinos skipper Iestyn Harris from Welsh rugby union. Bulls spokesman Stuart Duffy said reports in Welsh newspapers were “absolute garbage.”[/i
