From my own pov Senior is way past his best and that shows more in his performances than anything Burrow has shown or not which may be the case.
Senior in his pomp was the most destructive centre in SL imo and also defensively strong and now he's far from either and thats highlighted ten fold when the team is struggling and players like Charnley (last year away at HKR) Webster , Gibson are having joy taking him on and when he can't destroy players like Briers and Briggs with ball in hand.
I also think Burrow has performed MORE than Senior in the last 18mths and we should of approached Big Keith the same way TS did with Barrie Mc.
Of course nothing would give me more pleasure than seeing the Bald destroyer turning back the clock ala Wire away last year but fear those days are long gone and those efforts too few and far between.

If you play like you did against Saints and we play like we did against Hull you will beat us fairly easily. I'm not knocking our performance versus Hull, it was a decent game and the effort was huge but not IMO the same level as yours was.

As far as I'm concerned we will need to step up a fair way to compete. I actually thought Leeds played well, about as good as you can it's just that Saints seemed inspired. Just because you lost doesn't mean you were poor, far from it. That being my opinion I at least know what we are aiming for.

Don't think we can string two wins together in SL at present certainly not against a quality side, see you running away with it in the second half. If we keep you under 40 I would consider that a result.

My opinions of Burrow have nothing to do with how the rest of the team are performing (i'm assuming you included me in this because you stated Robinson) and it's the same opinion I have been putting down on here for the last 3 years at least. The better players adapt to the game around them. He has failed to do this and has been massively left behind. McGuire on the other hand has contined to improve year on year. If we could get a good 6 in at the club McGuire would be my 7. Chase would be my prefered 6 but for the good of the game I am glad he has stayed at Cas.

If it's not Senior it's Burrow. Some people live in a dreamworld.

Senior will not be dropped and shouldn't be. Burrow will not be dropped and shouldn't be.

This year the problems have been in the pack, mainly due to injuries. What gets me is that people like Watkins have done nothing more than senior, in fact he has made a lot more silly errors and his defence is far worse but Keith gets bagged.

Burrow organises the team, gives it structure. We as fans can't see it but the players and coach all know how valuable he is to the team.

I keep saying it but why would you stick Keith in pack when we have no better centre.

As for Mcshane at 7 give over. Why people insist on putting teams on here with Webb at 6, Mcshane at 7 and Keith in the pack is beyond me. Thank god you are not the coaches.

I've just read it again, it pretty much fits ..... except you appear prepared to make excuses for one player and not the other.

He'll be the first to admit he isn't pacy enough to play Scrum Half at Super League level and asking a player who's spent the majority of the time he's represented Leeds at Hooker to play at Scrum Half is something i wouldn't expect the coaching staff to do unless it was a last resort.

Do you have posters of your infallible heroes, Senior and Burrow up on your bedroom wall ?

Did you boycott the team when McShane played 7 last season and Senior played second row ? Was that not a coach that made those decisions ?

What is JJB's position then ? Delaney's ? Presumably because they haven't stuck to their orginal allotted positions the present coach should be sacked for daring to move them ?

It'll be interesting to see when we have a fully fit squad if Brian McDermott picks the team on form or reputation, I'd go for same old same old reputation.

Not imo and no excuses either.
Senior is no longer the threat he was ball in hand and his defence is no where near as good as it was 2yrs ago as shown by how he's performed that's what i see watching him week in week out.
Robbie has proven he still is a threat with the ball more often than Keith nor has his defence deteriated as Keiths has imo.
Now of course feel free to disagree but it does'nt add up to "excuses" for either player whereas your use of Broughtons international call up by Mcbanana as back up to your argument we've missed out whilst deriding Ferres' call up as disbelief and doubting the coaches sanity on the other hand...........

to be honest I agree with you on senior, and in some ways agree with your assessment of burrow. I do see glimpses from him but for me i have been unimpressed with him for past few years. I agree he is the best we have in that position and hope he goes on to have a great year and prove my opinions on him wrong. In a ideal world I personally would have liked to see Chase as our stand off and Mags at 7.

Having said that I would never boo him and have never booed any player for leeds. I think the big difference between the senior and Burrow assessment is that Keith to me looks uninterested. I have my feelings regarding burrows faults but that is something you cannot level against him.

Nobody (I hope) can dispute Burrow's attitude, guts, tackling ability and amazing speed for a guy with such little legs in broken play. I admire all those qualities. The question is ...is he a good enough scrum half with a wide range of kicking bag-of-tricks to keep the opposition guessing when/if he attacks the line....or will he try to simply duck under tackles, run sideways or throw out a predictable pass ?

I personally dont think his kicking game or organisation are good enough and would have prefered Chase and Mags as half back.
