Hopefully he'll be one of the 'high profile' arrests and be served a rightfully deserved long prison sentence, similar to the moron who threw the fire extinguiser off the roof at police a few months back

Just listening to the news on the radio and Cameron and Cobra have this morning put in place plans and authorisation for the Police to use baton rounds (plastic bullets) and Water Cannon, which he says are available at 24hrs notice (although would hope they would just have them on stand-by in potential trouble spots?).

So they are talking tough now, maybe a couple of days late, but lets hope the threat is enough but suspect they will have to use them before some idiots get the message!

Tell you what, that coat in Miss Selfridge's window isn't exactly flameproof is it, I wouldn't be stood too close to a smoker if I were wearing it.

Not that I would wear it of course, it being a womans coat and all...

If you are going to loot things kids (and I in no way recommend or endorse it) go for something with decent re-sale value. Nicking tat out of Miss Selfridge isn't going to be worth the risk or effort.

In that Designer Outlet thing on the edge of York, I bought my sound system from there. I spent about £600 on it, of my own money. That £600 came from the hard earned cash I work for. Shocking all this paying for stuff........

But some tat out of Topshop, can be moved on in Ghetto market stalls for 100% GP. Which will cover fags, cider and KFC, and possibly clean needles.

A few pictures have been released of Great Manchester Police giving a few kick ins at some youths.
A few minutes later, Sky news gets emails from some people saying how they don't agree with such heavy handed tactics, and that the police are abusing there power.

I'd hazard a guess, it may be Birminghams turn tonight.

Bullring in Birmingham is closing at 4 today. I shall be retrieving my good lady wife from her employment in Edgbaston as early as possible.

I obviously don't condone violence in any form, but if a few of these scrotes got a shoeing, would that be the worst thing that had happened?

These riots just illustrate how morally broke Britain is today. I can't believe the sorts of people that have actually been arrested - school teachers, etc! Makes you wonder what their motivation was and perhaps what the media isn't telling us.

The politicians aren't helping either with the continuing trouble. They come out with wholly inappropriate comments sat up on their clouds, further alienating people from more disadvantaged backgrounds. To be fair, who are the politicians, police and media to cast judgement upon these people after the expenses and phone hacking scandals, etc.

I'm not a Cameron fan by a long, long stretch, but I found this hard to argue with:



In fairness I haven't seen any reports of teachers being arrested. One guy works (or worked) in a primary school, but that doesn't make him a teacher.

Looting (especially looting without actual rioting to accompany it, which is what's happening in most places) has only one motivation. There's no protest here, no class issue, just morally bankrupt people who have no idea what it means to be disadvantaged seeing an opportunity to help themselves to some free stuff.

Yes, assumed that is why DC said "at 24hr notice" but you thought they could have sent a few over... even the sight of some parked up might put a few people off!
