Basically I heard that Sinfield and Peacock had a arguement after the world cup that caused a rift between the two of them. Ever since Tony Smith went too Warrington, its been rumoured that Sinfield has been talking to Warrington, I totally agree with you there, I dont know why it couldnt be resolved, maybe they havent tried, but nobody knows that bit of information, its just rumours going around thats all, only reason im led to believe my source is because this person told me about Smith going to Union and Wasps in January.

Paul Cooke got a six match ban for doing that (only Hull KR not Warrington.) When the RFL get involved it'll give some much needed credibility to your rumour.

Meanwhile in other news Smith is seemingly going to play out the rest of this season at Headingley despite what you posted on here.

I did say he was leaving though did i not? and also said that he could have played his last game for leeds after the WCC, if he would have decided to join Wasps early, which he didnt, so I was wrong about that one.

Not really suprising for me that ANY club in super league would WANT to have Sinny, Mcguire et al at there club, they are back to back champs and great clubmen.

He'll be in a position to beat the actual points record (by my estimation) sometime mid to late 2012.

Then the arguments can begin over who holds the 'adjusted point record' taking into account one point less for tries in the Lewis Jones era and one point less for drop goals in the Kevin Sinfield era.

I would find that argument irrelvant. Both achievements would be magnificent. A counter argument of the 3 point try would be that Jones was a back, and expected to get tries, where Sinfield is forward and his points have relied on goals.

Either way, great achievements from both.

Too many variables otherwise. Jones' points came when the level of 'competition' was different to that of SL. An era of Yorkshire and Lancashire leagues rather than the largely merit based full time SL of today.

The points awarded for the different scores influence the style of rugby played. If drop goals were still valued at two points today (and only one point more for a try) would teams be inclined to pop one over at the end of an attacking set, rather than come away empty handed?

That's because Kevin Sinfield wasn't mentioned by Tanya Arnold and the CEO would have ducked it if he were asked anyway just as he did re Richie Myler.
