We have one of the strongest fan bases in the game. To compare us to two teams who don’t get as many as us in attendances combined is laughable. We’re a club who have strived to improve our ground, facilities, and are currently in the process of purchasing the ground and surrounding areas for further development. We have events, concerts etc, that generate plenty of income to the club. If we was top of the league we’d rival all but Leeds in attendance figures. If Leeds went down and failed to come back up at the first attempt i’d love to see how many stay faithful, because you’d soon become a poorly supported club If that was the case. Fans are fickle. As for away followings, it’s no coincidence that as Leeds have become a poor club on the field, your away followings have matched this. Poorest I’ve seen from Leeds at Craven Park this year. we take good followings whilst not doing well, so imagine if we was up there. Our time will come again as will many other clubs - maybe you’ve just had yours. That’s sport.

Hetherington's only mistake (IMO) was having too much faith in McDermott to transition and develop the team. He took his eye off the ball and wasn't as ruthless as he should have been earlier. McD should have gone in 2015. Maybe the re-development of the ground took too much of Gary's attention - which is understandable, maybe he just got it wrong. Every decision since then has been like watching a disaster movie unfold.
We have to survive this season. Simple as that. The players who have let us down need to be shown the door and we need to rebuild virtay from scratch. Anyone not buying in 100% on and off the field has to go. The league is so poor that if you put out 17 guys who are 100% committed every week you will finish mid table, add some class to that and you'll do well.

And yes Leeds RL have been a very nice investment for Caddick. That's great for him. That's what happens in business - you take a risk and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

But the only thing that matters, the literal only thing, is: who was there ready to take it all on back in 1996? If you weren't or anyone else wasn't then don't come back 23 years later when we've won eight Grand Finals, been world champions three times and the stadium has been completely rebuilt crying that "we've been ripped off".

i never wanted hetherington out in 97 who did have banners ? and have thanked caddick for his quiet involvement . but i said city centre deals , never noticed him building in leeds much before and the playhouse area was on hold for years . then again i never noticed westie dogs till my parents got one

I suspect this week off will have done us good. The squad has some niggling injuries to it (e.g. Hurrell) and mentally they'll all be fatigued. Then again, you could say the same for all of our rivals.

Will also give Martin more time to adapt - he could be important for us in the run in, especially if Ward doesn't regain fitness.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the new London boy end up with us next year if they still go down and we stay up, and we can move enough on quota and cap.
