Actually Loz, you are wrong there, you might need a tstand ticket to go in the tstand, but you can go on the carnegie terrace with any ticket providing the game is not all ticket and the terrace has not been sold out! This was the ticket office reply to the gentleman who complained about his ticket not being checked!

I wondered this. I think it keeps a record as to which fans and how many intend to stand there.

So basically to ensure it doesn't exceed capacity? Given that, surely they should then ensure only fans who have said tickets actually use it?

I'm not having a go at you, I just don't understand why the club would do it and then make the area a free for all.

IMO Leeds have great support although not the best away support, every club does this though, at Leeds you can just hear it on TV because of the south stand. Hull fans are awful for chants and stuff. Castleford fans have been bad in the past.

Prefer the away games if im honest, Tuesday was a bit flat for a while but predictably when the tries came the atmosphere got better. When you go away its a better all-round craic.

Tbh the atmosphere wasnt great on tuesday night, which is why I arent a big fan of open terraces. Compared to the likes of Cas, Saints, Wire etc, the atmosphere at Headingley is dreafdul imo (only from an away fans perspective).

The terrace at cas is an open terrace? Unless you lot go down the side?

I always go down the side at Cas. It's just about the only ground in the league where the main 'home' support give it up.

Have to echo what others have said, I prefer away games and always have a better time at them.

I think they go in that standing end because it's closest to the centre of Castleford.

If they venture too far down the sideline, and even (god forbid) into the other end, technically they may be leaving the town, and that prospect scares quite a lot of them.

perhaps not the town, but straying too far from brothers, sisters, cousins, mothers or fathers and, should they be an outcast, other sexual partners might scare them a great deal!

Thats only two people to most of them.
