I guess winger wise, it will be mainly who is best equipped to deal with Abdul's bombs.

Roberts was pretty solid last week but he doesn't really add anything, he doesnt seem to have speed or power or size, he's not going to be a first team player in years to come, just a squad player that's probably going to be over taken by a youngster in the next year or two.

I also was hoping we would see Jack Smith infront of Roberts.Beige comment is spot on.

I hope we don't have to wait a year or two before hes overtaken.

Same game last year - which we won - we had two props (Oledzki & Lisone) a winger (Handley) and a second row (Bentley) missing. This year we have almost exactly the same (swap Fus for Ash and Bentley for Gannon) missing. However we have a far better spine. Should be interesting.

I think we have enough quality to trouble most teams if two or three players are on form.

This game is a bit of selection headache.

Think RS will stick with Roberts as our most physical wing reserve, but McCormack offers more in attack. Interesting that McCormack has made the squad, he must be impressing.

Think RS will stick with Bentley whereas I would drop him and start McDonnell, with Goudemand, O’Connor, TNW and Ruan on the bench.

Sangare and Holroyd to start for me.

Olesdki out indefinitely, same shoulder as had surgery on. Could settle, but could be a serious issue too.
Holroyd will take 4 weeks to get up to speed after long lay off, as will McDonnell. We need others to step up….

Who would start Bentley instead of McDonnell just out of interest? I expect RS to select Bentley to start.

Also wonder if Newman is carrying an injury with the selection of McCormack too…. He pulled up at one point against KR didn’t he?

I’d start Bentley over McD , but he needs to keep discipline in check , particularly with Sims on the wind up.

Bentley’s best chance is to wind up Sims and get him sent off!

Bentley was one of our best players against HKR. I would start him as I think his energy and agression if its controlled will be important. The balance and use of subs is also really important and needs to be better. O Connor and Bentley on the bench makes it too small. Ackers can play big minutes and I would spell Bentley and O Connor who both provide high workrate and big tackle numbers.
The props can then be rotated and Mcdonell can also provide size and energy giving us more flexibility.
We tend to leave players on too long and tired players contribute to a negative penalty count when their energy levels drop.

Forecast for Sat worsened a bit, could rain and going to be very cool again.

I feel like Mom or Miller is due a good game. We will need our back line firing and not making too many errors, to take pressure off the middle. I do think we need to compete with them though and reckon our pack will be up for it. Still expect Sims to wipe some of our lads out though.
