| Amazing win and real credit to the boys. In terms of Prior I don't think he is a dirty player I just think age has caught up withhim and hes trying to be defensively dominant but because his reflexes and general fitness is declining hes getting in all the wrong positions. Hopefully he recognises that himself and decides to call time on his career at the end of the season.
On a positive note isn't Tetevano back next week !

| I don't know if we've got records of sendings off but I'd be surprised if this isn't the highest total in a season in the club's history, and we've got time to get even higher....

I think you've hit the nail on the head re Prior. His game is built on being a little bit fitter, a little bit quicker. But old father time takes that away from us all. Massive next week for Tetevano. He needs to get it right.

| Great spirit and great win. Amazing how we could not create a try at the start of the season , and look at our attack now - does not look like the same team .
The game does raise an issue for me - should we keep Brad - sounds like he had a big impact again when he came on .

| A win like that reminded me of the good old days when the team might not be playing so well and things are stacked against us then bang all of a sudden Magic plays from the likes of Sinfield, Mcguire, Burrow etc would win us games in the last 15-20 mins. It's great to see Rohan has got our team spirt back and belief. Happy for Myler & Sezer who in there time with us have had plenty of criticism from fans but sounds like yesterday they stood up and came up with big plays when all odds were against us. All Hail Sezer right?

| A few issues from the extended highlights and Smith's interview (see club YouTube feed).
* Tomkins having extended verbals with Prior at the time of his sin-binning, even after Prior sent from the field.
* Sending off looked innocuous to me though admittedly the footage isn't good. Again Catalans players surrounding referee and telling him what to do.
* Smith referred to the game being the slowest he had seen this season pointing towards multiple stoppages. He cites an incident of a Catalan player getting a head-knock and stumbling about, only for the stoppage to come minutes later when Leeds manage to take possession.
It sounds like the RFL need to do more to stop teams using injuries (both real and imagined) from being used by certain clubs to interrupt the flow of the game. It ruins the spectacle, and frankly if teams like Catalans are as good as they think they are they shouldn't need to resort to this sort of skullduggery.

| Just watched the extended highlights on YouTube.
Looks like Prior had a shocker all game.
The red looked harsh, but only limited footage. But he'll cop a ban.
Cam Smith MoM again for me. Involved in everything and constantly creating openings.
Loved watching him brush past Tomkins for Mylers try.
Interesting with Dwyer. Looks like he made a big impact.
Exactly the type of situation for him.
Could be a loss, and potentially come back to haunt us.
And talking of old father time catching up.
Kasiano is finished.
Yeh, he barged over for a try, but he's a liability in defence.
Slow and unfit. We targeted him.
Wire have made a mistake there.

| Nice to see Smith far more involved in creating chances rather than just playing like a limited forward. When you see how much Rohan Smith has improved our play on the ball, it just makes the time wasted with Agar more annoying. We still need to improve the squad and the defence, but at least it feels like we're finally moving forward.

| The full game is now on YouTube.
Apart from the first 15 minutes of the 2nd half the first hour was much more even than the scoreline suggested.
Cam Smith is developing into a real leader. He reminds me of Andy Farrell, he has all the skills to be a world class player

I agree Jack.
I really like how Cam Smith is developing.
He's starting to fulfil the potential he has undoubtedly always had.
And still only 23!
Really hope it continues.
There's a few that like to bash him on here, which is strange. But when we're struggling on the pitch, the boo boys look for a target.
Captain of the future.

Cameron's skill set has always been evident, but it wasn't utilised. I live seeing a loose forward with good hands, rather than having an extra prop there.
I've heard that some NRL clubs have been showing interest in him

| Sam Tomkins seemed a bit vocal around Prior's two cards assisting the referee....that's not like him.
Shame he didn't come up for interview after the final whistle.
I'm an RU man who loves both codes - have to say Cameron Smith looks like a gem.

| Amazing win in the end.
Great spirit shown.
Personally I can’t tell from the footage if Prior deserved a red or not but agree with some others it looks like he may have hit the terrible part where your legs don’t get you to where you think they will.
Watching the Dwyer 360 turn and then chasing his own grubber to score I laughed out loud.
Personally I’d keep him around. Under smith we are going to play more expansive football and he will enjoy that. He is about at his peak and we don’t have many of them.
He has a downside, we all know that but I’ve rarely seen anyone play with more enthusiasm and however good O’Connor and Johnson become and it could be workmanlike, Neither can currently score the tries or create the opportunities that Dwyer can.
Looks like Smith is getting players to play to their strengths which is a great simple thing to get people onboard with you.

People would have been but the play had a fair chance of forcing a goal line drop out as a mitigant.
Danny Mags or Rob Burrow scores that try we would have hailed their greatness.
Welsby scores that try and Wilkin and Carney call for an immediate tight trouser transplant.
Poor old Brad can’t really win.

The difference is that Danny Mag or RB would only play that low percentage play occasionally, Dwyer plays it often and in the same match let alone using it as a moment of surprise or unpredictability.

I’d also say Danny, Kev or Rob (when in the halves) have more of a remit to put that play on if nothing else is on, as they’re in the halves. Twice in that game Dwyer makes a very risky instinctive call, when we’ve got options set up off of structure off our main playmaker, or even set for a winning drop goal. They both come off this time. But if they don’t you best believe Dwyer is getting a right earful from Sezer and then from Smith.
That is Dwyer in a microcosm, as much as he was part of the win, he so easily could have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory twice, and while I can give him credit for the kick chase try, the build up to sezers winner was pure dumb luck flinging the ball out the back.
Ultimately if the attack under smith is going to be as good as it looks like it could be, it’ll benefit from a more structured 9, imo.

Fair points and he looks set to leave anyway. It was a poor pass for the Sezer attempted drop goal. That last 20 minutes was cranked up to 11 on the randometer and it suited Dwyer down to the ground.

In defence of Dwyer, when he used to scoot out and go himself, no one ever went with him and backed him up. Noticed last few weeks bodies have pushed up in support, maybe coaching as highlighted this and RS has said if he goes himself back him up so he has options and not just a blind alley play we gave seen in the past. The reason we scored was because Hardaker followed him and sezar reset in back ground, support broken field play, lead to winning try.
It nay not work all the time, but if you play whats in front of you and push up it gives you a chance

Without doubt, he has improved under Smith and appears to be more selective, for want of a better word with the running, and as you say the support helps. I just don’t think you can look at either play and say it was the right choice and Dwyer’s part, and that, I believe is what’s lead to O’Connor jumping him and Rohan or Hetherington not offering a contract.
The push and following the ball carrier has been a noticeable change under smith, evident in a couple of the tries Leeming and Myler have scored this too. (Thinking the inside ball one against wire was it?)
