Looking at our fixtures the last vs Salford is followed by the CC semi final. That could be a heck of a double whammy - positive or negative - if we need to beat Salford to stay in the top 8.

for starters i think hudds will beat us (hull fc) in the next game which will make things interesting straight away, esp. if cas beat leeds

Interesting to see if we get some kind of bounce in performance in the next game. Regardless of the result the performance will say a lot about how the players feel.

Its also why I'd always be wary about appointing a caretaker to a long-term deal after they take over and seemingly have success in the short-term - I'd guess in the vast majority of cases its down to players just changing attitude rather than the caretaker being an uber coach.

possibly McD lost the dressing room, bringing injured players back too soon did not help.

Sinfields post match conference was quite interesting, he alluded to needing to make some changes in attitudes not just on the pitch but also off it, he said he didn’t want to go into details but said he now has a proper picture of where they are at as a group.

I really don’t think he’ll be shy in ringing the changes when needed

No bounce in performance for me. We competed early on but if Cas had taken their chances they would have been out of site by half time.

Players simply don't look fit

I've always wondered how Jason Davidson has made it so far as a conditioner. The guy is borderline obese.

Virtually no response suggests the problem is more to do with our lack of quality than anything else. That's probably the most worrying thing this year might have exposed. Regardless of the coach, we'll be lucky to make more than 3 major changes next season, so it could well take a few years to sort out the mess we've become.

I think we quite possibly haven't reached rock bottom yet.

Whoever the coach is, its time some of our senior players stood up to be counted. I'd particularly look to Sutcliffe, Moon, Cuthbertson, Ferres and Parcell to do much more. Its really hard to believe that the 17 we put out vs Cas are so lacking in ability that a 40+ smacking is the best they could deliver.

Each game becomes the seasons biggest game + yet we still don't perform. Were running out of games. I feel it could be too late.

We need to build some momentum so that even if we do end up in the Middle 8s its not a desperate battle every game, which we've shown little appetite for so far.

Personally I think the two big changes Leeds could make right now, that would IMO would improve us, is drop Ferres and Walters. Ferres for me is a bad influence in the team, he offers very little, and attracts too much needle on the pitch that we are not up to. I just don’t think he is a positive in any way.

Walters is just absolute garbage, and embarrassing to watch each week. Imagine been a team mate with this guy at the side of you. Yesterday he had ten, yes that is ten, missed tackles in the match. That isn’t even the full story, considering the gaps he leaves all over the place.

You could put 16 year olds in for me, they would still be an improvement on these two.

Another is what is best rol3 for Sutcliffe, because it isn’t working for him full stop. He doesn’t look up to this level at all. He seems to have the same attitude as many in the past, that he has made it now and doesn’t need to push himself.
