Hetherington knows whats hes doing the criticism of him on here is ridiculous. Hes a very secretive operater which is right way to go about his job. Just because you or I dont know whos staying or going or whos lined up doesnt mean hes lost the plot.

In truth there will be 1 or 2 changes and thats all. Most of current squad are contracted for next season so wont be going anywhere.

If that last sentence rings true then it does show GH is losing the plot just as this years recruiting etc showed he is having a major wobble.

GH has, mainly, been brilliant. however that doesn't mean he should be immune from criticism. last years hooker farce was very poor and changes are obviously needed or we will struggle again next year.

Players can be moved on, but there is a salary cap implication of doing so. realistically it's not worth getting rid of players as you spend the same money but get fewer players. Better to persuade them to look elsewhere as opportunities may be limited.

Me neither. Although he's not been bad this year, I really didn't like what he said in that interview about retirement being an option, more evidence is heart isn't in it. Id rather give his squad next year to someone who's first thought would be to find another club rather than give up.

Achurch is not needed. We have JJB, Ablett, Ferres, Ward, Keinhorst and Delaney who are all better than him. Singleton and Cuthbertson have also played at 13. It would be a bad move to use any cap space on another back rower even on a low wage, it's the last position we need to sign a player in. Hopefully Achurch is just trying to big himself up in the YEP to encourage a team like Wakie or Cas to come in and make him a decent offer.

GH/RL has form for loading contracts with various clauses im sure if he wanted rid he wouldn't struggle to do so.

Hmm only difference is Segeyaro is under contract for 2017. Aiton was never contracted for 2016. GH banked on Aiton signing a new deal so never looked around hmmm. Not difficult to understand.

As for Achurch, he says he'll retire if he is paid less than his previous contract. Jog on Mitch!

At his rumoured contract sum we never got value for money and it has taken chances from keinhorst on a few occasions ,especially last year.

If Ablett is not retiring this year and we aren't moving one or both of jjb/ Delaney on then we won't need another back row until 2018.

I'm keen to see what Ward and Ferres can do after a full pre season with Ablett and keinhorst as back up and one of jjb and Delaney at LF.

I could be reading in to this too much but Segeyaro has just put on Twitter that he's moving in to his own place in Chapel Allerton, I would sensibly assume that if he's moving in to his own place he wouldn't be planning on heading back to Aus in a month or so...

But Falloon and Toopi only had a couple of months remaining on their deals so could be paid off and still fit under cap. To pay for example Delaney off with 2 years to be paid would mean no replacement and probably releasing another player to stay under cap.

I would suggest it means the club have got him a short term let so he can move out of Delanney's place - I doubt he is buying a property.

Id say it would be highly unlikely the club would do this with only a few weeks left of the season, unless they knew he was staying.

If reports in Oz were right, he's got till the end of this week to decide whether he's here or not next year - I reckon he's already put pen to paper on it, otherwise the club would have waited until after the deadline.

He is going to head to Australia as soon as the season ends to visit family (as many Southern Hemisphere players do) so I seriously doubt he's got a new place to himself in Leeds if this was to be his final 4 weeks in the country.
