If you park on the retail park near Sainsburys you have the pub in the car park, the Railway across the road then across the rd from that the Miners club then on the way to the ground from the miners, just the Other side of the canal there's Leigh Easts club. Then the ground awaits you. All the best. Oh it's about a five minute walk between each one.

Indeed. Couldn't be ar$ed with the drive down from Newcastle but this thread's persuaded me to make the effort.

Well anyone driving should turn right at the Greyhound on the East Lancs. Drive up the road to the top then turn left. Follow the road into Leigh and turn into Tesco's car park.

It is only a 15 minute walk to the LSV from there.

Before you go to the ground please drop in at the Goose at Leigh bus station 2 minutes from Tesco's car park. There's a great bloke in there from about 5 30pm. He'll have a Leigh shirt on and a red Centurions cap. He is on a fixed income and would be gratefull for a pint as he is on a fixed income.

He is a smashing guy who will give you entries for our forecast competition for this weekends games only a £ a go and you never know you might win a few quid.

Looking forward to seeing you lot now. There are certain sets of fans that we meet and have really a good sporting relationship with, Widnes for a long while and the Fax fans waiting outside Bloomfield Road to say 'well done' was amazing.

Believe Leeds pre-sales are around the 1,200 mark so far with any more tomorrow plus walk up - this basically puts you as the largest away support we've ever had for a competitive fixture at the LSV!

Really looking forward to going to LSV - One of, if not the coldest I've ever been was at the 'Coliseum' [sic a few years back.

Hope the weather is a little more forgiving at the new place.

Just has a note to all this the harvester pub on the sainsburys retail park, seems to have closed for refurb or change of hands In the last couple of days incase any of you had decided to head for there.

I have the best of both worlds then,seeing world class players on Friday and then seeing a lot more on Saturday. Saints are playing on Saturday as well.

Every time I went to Hilton Park it was rainy and cold

I've just seen the weather forecast for today and it seems like the rain has gone though it will be cold and windy.

As lionarmour87 said, I don't think I've ever been to Leigh when it wasn't cold and windy. The last time we went I spent about 10 minutes queueing for a beer and by the time I'd got back on the terrace the wind had blown about a quarter of my pint out of the glass. True story.

I'm quite looking forward to tonight as well, I think Leigh could give us a real run for our money.

Heard a whisper (from a not too reliable source) that Watkins might not play tonight - down to a last minute fitness test. I hope he's wrong.

Oh it's nice and snug in the stadium, the wind won't affect the fans too much.

(In saying that, we built it specifically so that the away supporters South stand gets the full force of it.)

Theres some good pubs all in walking distance and if your coaches park on the normal coach park the Centurion will probably be the first pub you will hit, if you head for the town centre. Walk past in the oppostite direction of the Staduim through the bollards and down Etherstone street straight to the top, brings you out on St Helens Road, turn left and youll come to the Centurion , have one there and go over the bridge , youll find the GOOSE then near the bus station

Those on coaches are better off getting a beer at Leigh East, Park Inn or Legends bar which are all on site at LSV. LMR is a 5 minute stroll away. Ask steward for directions.

Sat in park inn, very nice recommend it! £2.50 a pint! Food as well!
