He is the most visionary and forward thinking chairman ever to grace the sport, and has in-depth knowledge of the sport, it's problems and solutions to a level no other chairman can even dream. And all this despite only being involved for 5 minutes.'"
I've never understood their messiah complex with regard to Pearson...
As far as I understand he's been involved with 3 football clubs (Leeds, Hull, Derby) all of whom have ended down the pan (IIRC he left Hull and Leeds before they things went tits up does this exonerate him of any responsibility?). At the same time he's managed to amass a personal fortune sufficient to make a £3m failed bid for Hudds Town before ultimately buying Hull FC.
Not the type of CV I'd be rubbing my hands with joy at if he came to my club.

but but but but he signed Ellis, and knows what is needed to fix rugby league! But from what I can see all he has done is known the rules, disagreed with them tried to fight them, lost and then cried out it's not his fault, it's the rules fault and they need changing to what he thinks they should be

| Reading some of the comments on here its obvious to me that the majority have the wrong impression of Adam Pearson. If the situation was reversed and your chairman had phone records to prove that the deal was all done underhand, do you all think the Leeds board would let it go without complaining?
Adam Pearson is a man of his word and everything he promised the Hull fans has been adhered to, the "circus" was the last regime (have a look at the Wakey forum for evidence of that).

| I've not read much of this thread but heres what i have gathered:
Adam pearson is the new messiah.
Adam pearson will create a new sporting super dynasty at hull and they will win every grand final and cc for the next 20 years.
Adam pearson will make the hull the biggest sporting brand in the world. Bigger than man united, barca and real madrid.
Adam Pearson is a reincarnation of Jesus Christ and is the son of god.

How could we have the "right impression" if it relies on some evidence your chairman has failed to mention in his whinge abut the RFL
Edit: and from a quick google search all that I can see is Hull forums where supporters claim to have been told that Hull had phone records that could show that Briscoe was approached before his contract expired...however that seems to have nothing to do with the ruling:
Quote However the Tribunal determined that under Operational Rule C1:3:12(a) Hull FC had relinquished their entitlement to compensation because the terms of the new contract they had offered Briscoe were less favourable than his previous contract.'"

I'm sure this isn't too dissimilar to what some Bulls fans were saying early the Hetherington era, when some of us made similar noises about the signings of the likes of Mullins, Clyde, Carroll etc. There's no reason why Hull won't establish themselves as a force under Pearson, and the signs are there that they are already improving. It won't happen overnight though and it appears that their chairman still has much to learn about our game.

Going by you calling a certain football club "united"to me its an indication that you are one more out of town Man Utd fan, which also suggest's you have no real sporting roots.

| Pearson's not involved in Hull FC for the love of the club. He's not involved in rugby league for the love of the game. He's involved for boosting the bank balance of Adam Pearson.
If he can get some short term success at Hull he'll cash in and move on to his next project.
If they haven't gone anywhere in five years, he'll cut his losses and again, move on to the next fallen giant in need of rescue.
Don't believe me? Look at his record in football. Where are Leeds, Hull City and Derby County these days - ruling the roost and reaping the benefits of Pearson's "international sporting knowledge"?

What phone records? If Pearson has these, and it's legal for him to have these phone recordings, then why doesn't he put them up on the Hull FC website for us all to hear? Or at least make mention of them in his little rant.
I would suggest that, given there is no evidence of them existing, these phone records are entirely imaginary.
How was the deal done underhand? An RFL tribunal has just proved it wasnt. What evidence are you basing this on? Contract expiration dates are widely known, it's not against the rules for Leeds to know when Briscoe's contract expired, there is generally a list circulated to all clubs of the players about to be out of contract at the end of each season.
The only issues are:
- Whether Leeds approached Briscoe before the date allowed
- Whether Hull were due compensation
We all now know the answer to the second point, as for the first, I find it highly unlikely and could not see the reasoning behind why Leeds would break the anti-tampering deadline. Which is why no-one except Adam Pearson could understand why there was such a fuss made by Hull over this issue.
A man of his word? He's been involved in the sport for 5 minutes. And already he's thrown accusations at a fellow club & CEO, lost an RFL Tribunal & had a pathetic, schoolboy rant at the RFL. Nobody has any basis to describe him as a man of his word yet or not. Leighton Samuel was a man of his word until he dumped Crusaders.

How have you become aware of "the full extent"? Because Pearson says so. Evidence that his word is more or less reliable than the previous administration? Minimal.
The credulity of Hull fans is astonishing.

Since he took over:
New Training Facility for the First Team Squad
New Sirius Academy for the young players which will have floodlit outdoor pitches and stands to be built for under 20's games.
New Strength and Conditioning staff
New first team coach with a good pedigree
New streams of communication to the fans (FC Live, Live streamed forums)

I thought he'd amalgamated acadamies with KR, so he won't have paid for it all himself.
Anyway how can a man that clearly knows nothing about rugby league or it's heritage claim to know what is required to take the game forward. He's made a mess (and profit) of every wendy ball club he's been involved with.
