Does anyone like Bates?

SG had to go and it was only the sheer hatred for KB that clouded so many fans from seeing how inept he was both tactically ,selectuion wise and total failure to sort out a defence despite 3 years and numerous diffeent signings and combinations.

Sack the manager now and you can write off the first half of the season as the manager's fault and the rest as rebuilding. Keep buying those season tickets chumps!

I disagree - SG certainly has his limitations so I'm not going to try and stick up for him but the two issues are separate.

The fact remains that whoever is manager at Leeds is working with one hand tied behind there back and has one of the smallest "player budgets" in the league while Bates milks the cash cow dry.

sg was simply not up to the job. yes bates didn't help, no disputing that. but any manager worth his salt should make a team hard to be beat and be organised at the very least. we were a shambles

Omar the 2 issues are not seperate perfect example we are beating Milwall 2-0 at home crown in unison chant there's only one SG.
Then we are getting d!cked by Barnsley and the crowd are chantting Bates out!!
SG has signed 60+ players yet not 1 has been a quality CB!!
We get a LW from the Prem he has good debut so what happens next game Larry plays him on the RM.

My dislike for Bates is up there with most fans but he doesn't select the team ,tactics nor does he identify the incomings.

I can't blame Howson for going but, has it got him anywhere , really? Not even on the bench tonight!!!

From what ive been seeing there are different groups meeting up at various pubs in town ,but they seem a bit confused as to where the march begins.I do hope they have a good turn out though.

The problem was Grayson. The players have hinted at it to the press and one told me they were glad he's gone. As McCormack said to the press" redfearn is a breath of fresh air".

It will achieve the fact that there will be increased awareness that the fans are sick of Bates, and that we are actively seeking for a new investor to work with. The fact is past players, pundits and the media have started to talk, and they are on side with the fans. If you want to sit and continue to be sh@fted by Bates then each to their own, but the majority have seen the light and are wanting a change.

I despise bates as much as you but he won't give a toss. He'll just be laughing at you lot in the cold. It will achieve nothing

It's not about wether Bates cares or not, it's about raising awareness for potential investors, and Bates will have to care sooner or later, fans are voting with their feet. The attendance against Birmingham was one of the lowest in years, it will begin to hit him in the pocket.

That's true, but a lot of that is due to the garbage on the pitch. A few wins and upto fourth, playing decent stuff and the crowds will return

If the fans really want to get rid of Bates, then the only way to do it is to stop going for long enough for him to get fed up with the money he's losing. Sadly if they do this, the club will be hurt too and that may take a long time to get over.

Unfortunately the only thing that can save Leeds from Bates, without more long term damage, is for the old guy to pop his clogs, and new investment to be found.
