In the late 80s early 90s when Wigan ruled supreme I respected their players & can't think of one I disliked, even when Edwards would score a try, put his hands on his hips & nod his head at the camera. I really couldn't like their fans though. In 1994, after Cas had di cked them in the Regal Trophy final there was one crying on the train home, after all that success. I felt no sympathy at all, even though he was only a kid. I now have that same feeling about their current team, even though I am much older & wiser.

I seem to remember them doing the right thing in 2007 when the 'guilt' of getting to the GF Eliminator from [size=1506th[/size place was too much so they offered to resign from the competition as they thought it unfair that a team finishing [size=1506th[/size should get to the GF but it was rejected by the RFL. Oh wait - I'm mistaken. They didn't!

I hope they keep up the bleating as it is giving everyone else a good laugh. I don't know - maybe they could write some songs or create a flag about it. Laughing stock!

No excuses from me, every team knows the system at the beginning of the season, I dont agree with a top 8 along with thousands of others i expect, but everybody knows at the beginning of the season that that is how it is, the 2 teams that get to the final, deserve to be in the final and have peaked at the right time, fair play to both clubs and here's to a good final.

Well said 21-12 i agree top 8 is wrong especially in SL where the team finishing 7th and 8th can get rewarded for losing more games than winning top 5/6 for me with only the top2 getting a second chance and no club call.
