The Eastwood - Crooks parallel is indeed a fair one, but Eastwood was far better on the pitch in the Blue and Amber than Crooks IMO.

Eastwood, much as he didn't want to be here, was by a distance our best forward at the business end of last season.

For reputation/achievement ratio, Crooks is about the worst this side of Wally Fullerton-Smith.

David Young and John Gallagher were arguably bigger wastes of money though.

And Peter Sterling was our worst ever import. All that talk and he did absolutely *nothing* on the field.

Wayne Heron may have been a pale immitation of his brother but he did score us the winner in the 1987 YC Final replay.

As for Mark Wilson he was kak but again did score us the winner versus Leeds to put you lot out of the YC in 1991.

Crooks is a must for any dire Leeds XIII. His time at Leeds typified why they under achieved for so long. I'd have thought someone would've stirred things up by including Schofield too!

I'm not forgiving Errol Johnson though. We had to get rid of Carl Hall and steal James Lowes to get you back for that one!

I disagree with some of the players that have been posted on here but haven't acted like a playground bully.
It's my opinion and to me that's all that matters.
But obviously with all your posts on this forum your views must be correct every time,and we mustn't offend you.
Are we not allowed to criticize current Leeds squad members but happily denigrate past players.
I hope most forum members aren't like you.

Leeds born and bred mate,although I did go to college in America.
So my opinion is pointless and yours obviously isn't.
Many many good players didn't win anything at Leeds and to me Bailey has been in the right place at the right time.Does that make him a good player, not really.

You don't have to substantiate your opinion at all mate - you just look a bit like a muppet if you don't.

Next time I see Bailey I'm going to ask him for 6 numbers between 1 and 49 because he must be the luckiest b'stard in the world managing to be in the right place at the right time on so, so many occasions.
