Wigan have scored 834 points, the majority from the back three players. How you can say we don't play pretty I've no idea. In fact I'd say we're playing just as pretty as Leeds were playing the season before this one. Had Amos Roberts not got injured in round 10 we'd be even prettier.

It can make you look a bit silly throwing allegations around that anyone can find are incorrect with just a few minutes searching & reading.

I thought Leeds were poor last night. And if hall scores the try(he should have taken it before tomkins got near him) with 6 mins to go we could have still had a sniff at it. I respect and appreciate what Wigan do. but all the top four have the beating of each other. Yesterday made me think we can win it again.

This tread reminds me of those threads where saints fans and other clubs trolls would write us off and poke fun.

Leeds have conceded 20 points or over on their last 9 or 10 games.
In their last seven games their points difference is a minus.
That is not the form that's going to win the GF or C Cup.

Next week will be crucial for Leeds, Saints have beaten Warrington tonight and with Hull's win at Quins Leeds are no longer fourth.
Saints will have a massive psychological advantage going into the semi.
Saints are in form, Leeds are out of form!

Been a strange old season with the injuries (what other team hasnt had them tho?)

But a few points from Last night:

*Centres, Senior's passed his sell by date surely? he chase back for the goulding kick was comical. And his turnstyle tackling was reminiscent of Richie Mathers. Delaney is consistanly avarage, is that whats expected for a Champion winning team?

*6/7, for me one of Maguire/Burrows should be sold and replaces with a quality aussie (if there is one available). IMO it would be Maguire, as good as his is for that match winning try from an individual piece of brilliance. HE counter-acts that with consistantly poor tackling (minus the hit on glass jaw), and ill decision making.

*Set Moves, from the games i've seen this year leeds attack hasnt looked this same, possibly with the large player rotation but it seems as if some arent quite so sure what calls being made. Handling skills were put to a test last night but its usually something we excel in.

*Ganson, as mentioned in another thread about his defensive line set up.. its a possiblity. As for some of the other calls it does seem he likes to be contraversial. From the southstand the ablett tackle looked nothing more than a shoulder in the chest rising up. made dramaticlaly worse by J.Tompkins running in for handbags after.

*Wigan tackling, as frustrating as it is to watch, it has potential to win them the Gf at OT. 3/4 man tackles releasing the player at the last possibly moment which allows in turn the defensive line to set. I'd be intrested to see the ablett pentalty again on our own line to see who was holding who down which led to a try.

* Coley/Glass jaw, The probable Hubcap winners have carried these two chumps for the season, neither make big breaks or big tackles and share a minute number of braincells between them.

Next season bodes well for wigan after their recent signings, I was kinda hoping Leeds would be a team to be fearfull of for years to come. As stated above, does loyalty come before sucess?

Ablett's arm was caught between Tomkins legs and expertly held there by young Samuel to win the penalty. Something he's been adept at all season. Another favourite trick of his is rolling over when grounded, trapping a tacklers arm in the process then pretending to struggle to get up to play the ball. Can't knock him for it mind, it seems to fool most of the officials most of the time.

In the end Ganson appeared to suggest that Ablett having ended up with his arm where it was being reason enough for the penalty going against him.

Ganson had a fair point though. His arm shouldnt really have been there in the 1st place

Why was Abletts arm there in the 1st place though? He was obviously trying to wrestle him.

Maybe he was trying to tickle/fondle his bollox Leon Pryce style?

Ablett's arm was naturally enough aimed at the player's neck until young Samara expertly manoevered it in to a delicate position.

Read any posts I have put and you will see Ive not declared us new world power or written you off! But the bitterness and arrogance! Ive seen posts that us winning the GF will point towards a poor standard league! Ive seen posts saying that Leeds have nothing to fear from Wigan! When you narrowly beat us in the cup most Leeds fans on here saw that as a statement of intention that we werent good enough!!
We can surely also have confidence in our squad. Winner will come from Wigan, Wire, Stains or Leeds. Out of the 6 league games we have won 4 and lost the other 2 narrowly!
Leeds fans go on about Wiganers living in the past but we are top and challenging now! Leeds fans have an arrogance not seen on any board on these forums by any other supporters! I imagine should we win the GF all we will get is come back when you have won 3 in a row!!
