And all becomes clear ..... it's a line he used in tonight's pre match build up for Sky.
I'd also rather be kicked in the teeth than be interviewed by Ms Powers.

As before "fat chance" !!! Should have been though....again we looked a lot worse when Buderus went off. Can't believe so many here still do not see it...or perhaps, more likely, do not want to see it.
Buderus, McShane, Burrow and Hood it is then for next season.
Quote ="The Magic Wand"Its simple, don't let him go, he is head and shoulders above any other 9 in the comp.

THANK YOU. Some sense. (It was also a mistake to put Smith in Senior's spot: Smith is a full back or right wing...great player but never a centre. Certainly not a winger's centre).

He has fabulous teeth. They are like the white cliffs of Dover, just screaming out to be shattered by the forearm of Todd Flanders. His nose is also delicate and unbroken. Either that or they have superb dental and plastic surgeons in Australia.

| Buderus was excellent last night, his first spell was very good.
People are saying about giving Buderus more game time, I wonder if he still has the fitness to do 80mins though? He hasnt played a full 80 of rugby since arriving here? Does training hard etc through the week condition you enough to play 80mins or do you need to be playing 80mins week in/week out?
Last night I don't know what Diskin had in terms of 'impact' that we wouldnt have had if Buderus had simply stayed on....last night it seemed like bringing Diskin on for the sake of it and I thought it had a negative impact on the team. Just my opinion though.

And don't be afraid of it !!!!
You are absolutely correct. There is no sensible reason for Diskin to be brought on....one of these days we are going to pay a high price for Bluey's misplaced sense of loyalty.
If Buderus is not capable of playing the full 80 mins (which would surprise me) then there is plenty of short term cover on the field without wasting a bench spot with Diskin ( OR here's a revelation ...give his spot to somebody who is more important to the club's future...McShane: who can also better cover the equally important scum half position ).

Name a hooker who plays 80 minutes every week? Blackpool aren't SL opposition.
I can only assume the "Diskin to the scrap heap" brigade are a bunch of spoiled brats who don't realise how much success he is a part of at this club. Perhaps 20 years of winning sweet FA again will make these oh so ungrateful kiddies realise that when you get a player like Matt Diskin at a club, a player who lives and breaths Leeds, who puts his body on the line 100% every time he takes the field, and a player who actually gives a f*** (and guys, I've seen dozens of players in and out of this club who could lose 35 nil in a cup semi and happily go for a night out the same day and not care a bit), you hang onto him as long as he has legs.
In his testimonial year you would happily eject him from the club and have him replaced by a guy who has less than a season of SL experience while on loan to another club. Awesome. Never heard such bullS4h1t.

You should be running the club, we'd still have Matt Adamson playing for us based on your criteria.

I admire your loyalty DHM, and I don't doubt your feelings on this.
But the post is a bit silly on the back of the respective performances last night. Buderus was quite simply the best player on the park by a mile. Diskin on the other hand would have been rated one of the worst. The contrast in how Leeds played yesterday was huge. McClennan could quite easily have lost that game from the jaws of victory just by leaving Buderus on the bench too long. Had he not come on when he did, we would have definately lost that match.
I see Bluey is moaning this morning about how slow the ruck was and it ruined the game. Well actually Buderus had no problem what so ever and was controlling that area with ease. When Diskin came on it was just painfull to watch, so slow and cumbersome i struggled to stay awake.

Her hubby played for Bradshaw CC who had just beat us in the cup, one of the forfeits involved running across the field wearing a jock strap. i set off at 200 miles an hour and my tackle fell out.
My embarrassment was complete when the first person i made eye contact with on the way back into the pavilion was Christa Ackroyd who asked me if it was "getting a little cold outside".
