| Aww,bless! Huddersfield fans riding the coat-tails of Wigan! We've finished with you. You had your 15 minutes and now your star is fading - rapidly! Wigan,Wire,Saints and even Hull are on the radar now. You once made a 'blip' but have now disappeared into the Bermuda Triangle of Super League mediocrity. So long old friend!

Everyone does it so it's ok? Your not allowed to kick out let alone kick another player in the face knocking him out and giving him 8 stitches, should have been sin binned for that whether he meant it or not.
Quote Delaney does end up on his back, but that is not the point. The rules clearly state that you cannot do that to a player. And if it was an accident, why is he smirking immediately after it's happened? He will appear before the RFL, but anything could happen with them. '"
Delaney ends up on his back? No case to answer then, the tackle was just a good aggressive tackle, if he would have landed on the top of his back/neck then yes I would agree he should recieve a ban.
Quote The Farrel incident deserved the ten. Sorry, but he should not have put himself in that position. Why was he flying in like that? You shouldn't be jumping into a tackle like that and he wasn't trying to charge the ball down, as he was to the side. Silly play. I don't think the RFL will take any further action - the ten will be sufficient.'"

Also whilst we are at it as unfortunate it was that J tompkins caught a stray boot that lad needs to watch his knees in the tackle also every match at least a couple times he puts his knees in and yesterday did it to Buderus but got away with it,great player but no angel.

If McGuire had held onto the ball 1 second longer the tackle would have been legit and it would have been a turnover. He got sin binned for a late hit, which is incorrect by the rules as he was committed to the tackle.

Both players were in mid air when Farrell hit him though you can't tackle a man in the air nor can you hit the kicker late so the sin bin was correct.

This is utter rubbish. Being committed to the tackle has absolutely nothing to do with the decision. Think about it - if being committed while making a tackle, no matter how late, meant that you couldn't be carded then it would be open season on anyone putting boot to ball.
But if you can post the relevant rule that says otherwise I'll happily admit to being wrong.

If Liam Farrell would have not charged into McGuire then McGuire could have dummied and whipped it out wide or gained an extra 10 yeard and then kicked, he isn't going to defy the laws of physics and stop in the air 'matrix style' as soon as McGuire touches the ball with his boot is he?
Yeah Joel had his knees in, watch the replay he smashes him and his knees end up in there so he leaves them there as you would. All the Leeds players were doing it all game with elbows in faces in the tackle but that sort of thing is acceptable in my book as it is part of the game, shouldn't happen but does. Ryan Bailey high tackled Sam Tomkins on 25 mins yet nothing was said, if Cummings watches that replay and thinks Bentham was consistent then he needs his eyes testing.
If Farrell wouldn't have been sin binned an you still won I wouldn't have been bothered, I am bitter about the inconsistency of the referees decisions. I like to see a bit of biff in a game as it makes it more spicey and a better game. I don't want to see a one sided performance from the ref.
IMO if Farrell was worthy of a sin bin then Peacock and Senior were.
Our game has a way of leveling itself out so I predict Leeds will be on the wrong end of a few bad calls ending up in a loss in the near future.

| Personally thought the ref got most call spot on.
Coley - lifted above horizontal, but not intentional, just the momentum from a dominant tackle. He'd be unlucky to get more than 1 match if that
Senior - definite penalty. No more, he does have a habit if flailing about and often gives away penalties when in posession. 2 today.
Farrell - Committed to the tackle true, but the hit was late, Farrell was in the air, leading with the shoulder, and was always dangerous. Rules are very clear on that.
Peacock - First contact with shoulder. No malice, just beaten by a quick play.

| It is clear that there are a lot of clueless opposition supporters, that are desperate to have any excuses in order to try and make them feel like they are better than the Rhinos. Wigan supporters should be gutted, but pleased about how well they went, they probably deserved the win, but missed out by switching off for the last minute of the game. They lost because they didn't play to the full 80, not because the world is against them.

| Peacock high tackle - Penalty, lazy arm - correct decision
Tomkins no try - Smith knock on - wrong decision
Senior kick out - unintentional contact, penalty - correct decision
Farrell late challende - although commited, he drops his shoulder at last minute upon contact, he could have landed without taking Mcguire out - Penalty and sin-bin as per RFL directive - correct decision
Coley Spear - Penalty - Should be off when compared to Mounis last week, will have to answer at Red Hall - Penalty correct decision, lucky to stay on
Most importantly...
Result = Still the same as yesterday, Leeds in semi's, Wigan out....

That was a big kick motion though, certainly bigger than most you see.
It was definitely accidental though so it would be hard to justify sin-binning him.
However if it was a player from your own team being kicked you'd want somebody walking for a kick in the face.'"
For once I agree with this poster.
It was accidental in that he could not see who the player was, or whether his face was there or not, and therefore definatley not a sinbinning.
However, there is no doubt in doing that sort of action in the tackle, you are attempting to kick someone or something. For me the RFL need to stamp down on this sort of action as it is not needed at all. I would therefore ban Senior for a game for it, and ensure the message to all players is that you do this sort of action you get banned.

I think there's some sense in that. Struggling to get up is one thing, kicking you legs 3 or 4ft in the air is another. Send a message out with a 1 game, and work with refs on the cause as well as the symptom
