As far as I can tell you're entirely basing it on the one Fielden incident which, to be frank, is ridiculous - Bailey is a prop and Walker is an outside back so quelle surprise Bailey get's involved in more "Biff". Bailey has and is an outstanding professional as far as I can tell - no Leeds coach or player has ever suggested otherwise. Off the field I understand Ryan is a family man with three children.

People talk about Bailey’s thugism and ill-discipline but are generally just swayed by their own pre-conceptions.

When there is a bit of biff Bailey is often the one to have wound up the opposition player but he rarely then get’s involved – to opposition fans this makes him a coward, sh*t bag, etc – but from a team point of view it is great self control and very professional (next time just watch Ryan’s face...non-Leeds supporters seem to fail to notice how often he’ll simple smile and do nothing when someone takes a swing at him, because he’s just done his job by put his opposite number off their game and, hopefully, also won a penalty).

If you don’t believe me maybe you should look at the stats. I’m sure Tvoc can verify but I believe that Bailey’s never been sent off and not even been sin-binned for 3 years (and only 4 times in nearly 200 games/8 years for Leeds). He’s also fails to feature in any year of the official SL stats top 25 players for giving away penalties (2003-2010 available at www.superleague.co.uk)
