I think it was mentioned on another thread how ironic it is that two players in Ashley Gibson and Jodie Broughton who left Leeds due to a lack of playing time etc would have been able to manfully fill the gaps that we currently have.

Yes a loan would probably be the answer.. and i think it's needed to get our season kick started cos we're looking a bit threadbare in the backs.. it's a shame ainscough is at Cas as he'd have been ideal.

OK so we need someone who is a proven SL standard player, is currently not playing (in a first team) and who we could loan for a month or two to play on the wing...

.. So how about Lee Smith? He's available, has expressed interest in coming back to Leeds ([iallegedly[/i) and we know he'd do a pretty decent job on the wing.

The only way i'd like to see Smithy back at leeds is if he was back full time.
I'd much rather give our youngsters a go to see how they handle the step up than give someone from another code a short term deal.

Also I highly doubt Wasps would be happy to let him go back to League on loan whilst trying to teach him Union.

Cannot use injuries as an excuse. Had the club recruited properly at the end of last season we wouldn't be in this mess.

People need to stop blaming injuries for the poor displays and look at where the real problems lie.

When you have 7 first team players missing, defensive organisation and the fluency of the attack naturally suffers. You ought to be smart enough to work that out.

seriously though, Leeds do have probably the best production line of youngsters in S/L, your in a better position than most to cope with a big injury list.
