Which would be very harsh indeed.'" I'll have a look at the rules later when I have a chance, but your quote only sayus the ball carrier cannot be done for obstruction, it does not say whether a non-ball carrier can be done for obstruction. |

Yes if i felt it necessary. I thought Eastmond was wrong on Sat night and it is something that needs stamping out of the game WHOEVER does it. Daniel Anderson is entitled to his opinion but should he have done it publicly? Absolutely not. Smith not reffing us again was down to saints having the RFL in our pockets and what Daniel says goes.
I was not aware i was throwing stones, just offering an opinion. Has it really got to the point where we should all stay on our own boards??? |

The original post was in agreement with a previous post, it was supposed to be a little light hearted and just my observations, that post in no way suggests saints are without fault and just because my club does not have a whiter than white past does not mean we are all tarred by the same brush. I am a qualiflied Ref and know what it feels like to be the man in the middle.

I think the Peacock 'No Try' V Wigan in the Final Eliminator last season took that record away from Ganson and gave it to Ian Smith. The new benchmark standing at an impressive five minutes plus.
While on the subject of Wigan I see Palea'asina is still no nearer playing the ball correctly. I know it's a loosely interpreted area generally put he still manages to take the p[iis[/is with it. |

I'm OK with the interpretation as it stands but whenever I see Palea'asina roll it back and step over it without any pretence of playing it with the foot I think to myself, why should he be allowed to be a law unto himself when I can't really think of another player who does this quite so obviously.
Wigan's second last try on Friday came from one such Palea'asina play the ball V Les Catalans. At least Thaler managed to sin bin two players for chelping so I suppose that's something. Well done the TJ for reporting Thomas Leuluai to the referee especially as the TJ's decision was proved correct on replay. |

I suggest that you look at a number of the Saints team who also do a "Feka". One who doesn't is James Graham who currently looks like a dead cert for MoS. |

I've been really glad about that. Since the Magic Weekend we've played some terrible rugby. I would hate the wider RL world to have witnessed it! Thankfully, we rediscovered ourselves for the Wire match and you'll have your chance to analyse our style twice in three weeks since we're on the box on Friday at home against Wakey and then on 31 July at home against Wigan. I'm hoping we remember to play well on both occasions and don't revert to the terrible rugby mode again! |
