When you see the replay from behind the action raynor is motoring across to cover and the ref is right in front of sinny's path to the sticks so his switch in direction whilst pretty much forced was imo to look for the support as Andy pointed out.

Turned Smith inside out though, brilliant play.

If he hadn't have slipped he'd have scored.

Mate, he had 3 on 1, the only option Smith had was to get turned round whilst backpedalling. It wasn't brilliant play at all, it was rubbish. He could have passed either way, and could have easily scored himself with abit more composure. Great fullback play from Smith, not committing himself, and therefore making Broughton's mind up for him.

That's my read on it too. Yeaman was completely unmarked on his left and he had Thorman on his inside (although cover was coming across from the Leeds left to shut that pass down). All he needed to do was stay calm, run straight at Smith to engage him then pass to his left and Yeaman would have had a walk in. In the end all he did was confuse himself and fall over trying to be too clever with his footwork.

Agree with Matt and Andy on this one but think it was poor play born out of lack of experience rather than just being poor play in itself.

Just heard that Dene Hatalau (sp) may be a Rhino next season.

It's been mentioned before mate and he's also been linked with you amongst others!!

Would more likely be Ropati at a guess given his past connections with McClennan.

Would you have preferred a cash only deal? I'm not fussed about Broughton. I hope for his sake that he does a good job (except when he plays us) for somebody else but feel we have enough better current & prospective wingers on the books already. Donald, Hall, Watkins, Jones-Bishop etc. Just another outcome of the salay cap & the new under 20 competition from next season.

I like what I've seen of Broughton so far on loan at Hull. Personally I would have been happy to see Donald move on at the end of the season and one of Watkins/Jones-Bishop/Broughton (delete as applicable) promoted into the seventeen next season in his place. It'd be a shame to lose or under-develope one or more of our own for potentially one season too many for the Australian.

Its possible that Donald's experience will count a lot in his favour - if Senior misses games/has a go in the forwards the threequarters will lack a bit of experience as a group.
