Went to watch him at Roundhay Park, and at the Don Valley Stadium, the guy was a music and entertainment genius.

Unfortunately, the body is like an engine, you put the wrong fuel inside it and it f*cks up. His concoction of pain killers and little food clearly did not do him the world of good (G1, you can still take those Steroids I got you).

Like him or dislike him (or his family), he was still a father to 3 young children, a brother to his siblings and a son to his parents. Respect should be shown to them if nothing else!

Don’t expect to find respect on the internet or here of all things. The jokes unfortunately from what I’ve come across outweigh the respect. You wouldn’t think that people on here are representatives from the supposable family image that the community promotes itself as.

Lets hope the members who know who there are keep a low profile for a long time. They’ve already been in a lot of trouble this year and are only starting to get respect back. Only to throw it all away with silly remarks that there’s no need for!

A large part of having "respect" is being able to respect the opinions of others who may not share your beliefs or morals.

It's hypocritical to criticise others for not showing what you consider to be the appropriate amount of respect based on your own moral compass.

The phrase "live and let live" comes to mind.

Someone in fact got a site wide ban for joking about the Liverpool deaths.

I respect peoples opinion like “he’s a paedophile and deserves to die”. But what I don’t respect is distasteful jokes been made in the name of someone’s death.

I have to say Damo, I also dont get people making jokes about the dead. It is in bad taste, regardless of who has died. ATEOTD if nothing else, Jackson leaves behind a young family.

You respect someone making false and vile accusations about the dead - who can no longer sue to protect their reputation yet you take offence to people who makes jokes.

I hear that G1's extra work in the gym is paying off and he is hoping to grow an afro to get the gig to play his later years. Danny has applied for the early years part, but could be rejected (despite being the right height) for being "too orange"!

My morals are talk to someone like you don’t mind been talked to. If people do think someone who has died did something wrong then its ok to voice so IMO. But to make a uncomplimentary joke out of it IMO is taking it too far.

Then again there’s a time and a place for everything. But everyone’s time and a place is different. I may sound like a dictator here but I believe threads like this don’t deserve to have such vile jokes.
