As i read more than post , It would make it easier without the pages of personal feuds and name calling.

I think earlier in the season the ones who didn't criticise the players were fairly critical of the coach generally saying the rah rah style had burnt out but the players were still good enough to do it anyway.

Shouldn't we just enjoy the treble however it was done ? we've waited long enough

Hey, whatever floats your boat. I'd hate to see the board get to a state where nobody is prepared to express a contrary opinion for fear it will be stored and thrown back in their faces somewhere further down the track though.

That’s the problem Andy, after winning two grand finals in a row then going into the next season with the same squad and being favorites to win a third then when you lose a couple of games people are calling for the team to be dismantled, that’s not constructive debate it’s just ridiculous knee jerking. A bit like suggesting the team who finished 10th are better than a team who has won the last 3 grand finals.

It's an opinion expressed on a forum. If you don't agree with it, counter it.

Going back months after the event and dredging up old threads solely in order to thumb your nose at those who held that opinion at that time is the equivalent of rubbing a puppy's nose in a puddle of wee six months after it did it.

It serves no purpose, other than to give those doing it a warm glow of self satisfaction at how clever they are.

Someone had an opinion. It differed from someone elses. One of them turned out further down the road to be right. Let it go and move on FFS rather than dancing around like a street accordionists monkey in keyboard warrior mode.

Some of the things posted during bad runs are completly ridiculous, just ludicrous stuff.

Like someone suggested we needed to break up the current team, the greatest in our history, because they'd been playing together too long.

My theory on this is that although it proved that people saying how the season panned out were proved to be correct, that doesn't mean that some of the critisism wasn't valid or warranted.

I'm fairly confident that the people who say wait and see this year were saying similar in 2006, when the tag line of 'wait until July' was coined for new signings.

FWIW I would usually agree that all the point scoring on this paticular forum is a childish pain in the backside, however in this case I feel it is almost warranted, as anyone calling for the Grand final winning coach's head midway through the season, or saying that we should get rid of members of our most successful side ever because of a couple of dodgy performances, need reminding that they could sometimes keep a little bit of faith in our best ever side.

Opinions and predictions are all well and good but when these opinions turn out ot be bat[ish[/iit looney tunes then rather than crying about it to eachother they should face their fekwittedness.

The players and the management responded to the ill informed clap trap by doing what they do best.

It's very uncomfortable for those who said these things but I'm sure they'll be fine with Colonel Gilder leading the charge.

That's if they come out of the bushes where they've been hiding since Saturday.

If people re-read the thread they'll find posts from more than a list of usual suspects and find some criticism of the coach who went on to make history at the season end.

Are they embarrassed by what they said mid season and should they be anyway?

I've said on another thread that it is possible that we could win nothing next year, the thing is that the exact same group of players have just won it 3 times in a row so talk about individuals not being good enough or bringing other players in would just be silly, we know they are more than good enough to do it and we also know that we are more than good enough to get over a mid season slump.
