There certainly hasn't been an increase in LCC employees. Infact as the amount of employees have decreased so have the wages.

Every government – EVERY GOVERNMENT – EVER without exception have raised taxes – they have to. You can’t have inflation and not raise taxes.

OK I’ll admit that most governing parties try to disguise tax increases or hide/reduce allowances but at the end of the day Joe Public end up paying more.

Public sector employee levels will increase after years of savage cuts in order to reduce taxation on the very richest - who didn't need those services anyway - and more particularly on the back of an ageing population.

As for taxation, who was it that made the system so regressive? The tories might have made people like you nominally a few quid better off (but in the long run worse off) by selling off public services in order to slash taxation of their cronies and backers but at the expense of a far worse position for the most vulnerable in society. Still sod 'em eh?
