Possibly, but i personally think Smith is best at fb imo. That said it looks like we're trying to shape him into a centre.

I'd say the 30k is a bonus to add to the funds already in place for contracts/re-signings/new recruits.

If I were Hull I'd be focusing on this season, to try and turn the slump in form around.

I thought transfer money counldn't be counted in the Salary cap? Wasn't there something to do with when we paid Wakey a fee for Ellis they couldn't use the money towards the cap or something? Or has that all changed with the new cap rules brought in this year?

It's 30k we didn't have before tansey was sold so imo it will either go towards the squad or the ground re-development.
As far as the cap is concerned it's set at a limit of 1.6m i'm not sure if it matters where it comes from in terms of transfer funds or otherwise.

I'm very disappointed, not so much because Leeds have lost a decent player, but because he didn't stick it out with the Roosters. No wonder the Aussies don't take our lot seriously when they jump ship at the first chance.

IIRC transfer fees didn't count towards the turnover part of the salary cap rules, which have now gone anyway.

I appreciate that he may be homesick, but I'd like to think that people prepare for that possibility before taking that leap. Or maybe I expect too much.
