| I think McGuires getting alot of unjustified stick for a play that has actually resulted in us winning the game.
Plenty of posts saying he's a greedy so and so who never passes
The boy cant win.

There was ample time for one more play the ball. Whether that would have resulted in the winning drop goal is anyones guess.

| Is this one still rumbling on?? I think we'd established that we'd alrwady had a couple of attempts at drops which never got off the ground so that probably wasn't going to be a great option in the circumstances anyhow.
We'd just broken 50 metres down the pitch (remember the big run by Senior, after 80 minutes.... in the pouring rain... the guy whose 'legs have gone'... yep, that guy)... who knows where anyone was going to be positioned after that break so the drop was still not a great option.
Don't suppose that McGuire had the time to stop and wipe the rain out of his eyes and check the time before deciding his next move, he just saw JJB on a good break and went for it....
Besides, McGuire is a genius!

Lauitiiti appeared to know where it should go. Sinfield was centre field waiting on that play or the next only for Buderus to go blind and McGuire decided to kick.
The wrong play with a fortunate outcome is still my feeling.

Let it go man! You've watched it twenty times from the comfort of your armchair to come to that conclusion!!

No, I said it as soon as it happened.
Watching it back twenty times I've come up with a justification of what McGuire possibly saw and posted that explanation above (foot of page 5).

Pretty long all things considered, not least with Raynor's inclusion in the squad.
I must have missed Broughton's one month loan being extended as it must have been.

He won't even play. It will be Calders and Raynor on the wings and Yeaman and Whiting in the centres.

| I am not really sure why there is so much apathy these days before a game especially at Headers.
In the past the banter between the 2 sides has been pretty ugly especially against Hull.
Don`t forget they are all thugs who rip down goal posts and they all hate Leeds
We are now several hours away from quite a cruical game and there is nothing from both sets of fans.
Does this apathy manifest itself on to the pitch?
Are we heading for our worse sequence of home losses in x years?
Come on lads lets start it up.
We all hate Hull anyway don`t we!!!

| For me (barring injuries, I presume we'll be picking from more or less full strength), is whether Burgess gets the nod or Bailey.
Neither have been in great form IMO. Burgess was quite sloppy against Cas (2 knock-ons from memory, I know the conditions played a part), but he didn't put himself about greatly. The same can be said for Bailey.
I'd roll with Bailey tonight, see what he does. Or doesn't do.

His stats would suggest otherwise. Although from watching without stats, I agree with you.
Burgess's effort seems to be a whole lot better than Kylie though over the last month or so.

I always watch without stats!!!
Kylie has improved slightly over recent weeks, I think!! But a shadow of his former self, I wouldn't been in a mad rush to re-sign him, I' deffo be having a scout.

| God forbid BUT If we lose tonight against a jekkel and hyde Hull side - what would be the reprecusions ? 4 losses on the bounce at home... would this be a crisis? Would this be bye bye to the chances of top spot?
Pretty big game for me is this one tonight - we must stop the rot at home. I'm sure the boys will do it though.. but i can imagine a few nerves.

Hull have a good record at Headingley.
I have still seen nothing from Leeds yet this season, to give any confidence going into this game. We should win on paper. I still think in part we are holding back on the peaking and could come good. But personally a defeat would not suprise me tonight.

Ah, it's good to know the fatalistic attitude of some Leeds fans isn't dulled by recent successes.
Four points behind with 13 games to play and it might be "bye bye to the chances of top spot"?

I know. Its not like Leeds were 6 points clear at this stage last season and let it slip is it?
