being someone who got chucked out of the school percussion band for playing the triangle in the wrong places I appreciate (and applaud) anyone who can play a musical instrument well.

The sax player Julian and the violinist Sue Son would get my vote. Wish the kid who played the drums had got through as well.

Having a drummer as a solo performer has always been a problem though hasn't it - I'll name Cozy Powell, now tell me one other solo drummer who has got a record into the popular music charts in the last four decades ?

Or we could throw in the bass guitar, would you listen to a solo bass guitar player ?

The kids got talent yes, but anyone who thinks the show is about discovering talent or picking a performer for the Royal Variety Show needs a reality check, its about how many albums Simon Cowell can sell after the final, hence the reson why you just don't ever see comedians on the bill now and also why acts like "The Barrow Boys" will only ever be a one performance act.

I agree with what your saying but where is the talent in fastening coat hangers to your nose etc. What the guy wants to do in the privacy of his own home is ok by me but what on earth were the judges thinking of putting him thorough and subjecting the viewers to another sick performance. Simon Cowell wont be able to market that act.

I wouldn't mind seeing him do 'A view from the afternoon' or 'A certain romance' on solo...

I quite liked him, what I want him to do in the next round is tie that bowling ball to a chain and hang that from his ears, hopefully ripping them both off in the process, anyone who would shed blood for the Queen is well worth my licence money.

This thread should be renamed - Britain's Got No Talent.

By tonights show, Britain really does have talent.. I just hope tomorrows show is as good when I am there.
