| Tomorrow I just can’t see a Saints win for a number of reasons. One of the reasons is their over rated full back who got in this years dream team in favour of Brent Webb who is obviously better than the pair. Brent Webb has a point to prove tomorrow and I feel that he’ll do it well.
We then have the declining star in Sean Long who I am glad is back tomorrow. It keeps that Mattie Smith out of the game and that's make me happy that Leeds don’t have to face another young spark like James Roby.
If Leeds had a choice to have Nick Fozzard or Kylie I think there made their decision ages ago. Fozzard is a good prop but he is only in that dream team because of the commentaries love of St Helens and their unsung players.
Leeds just have a better team all round and I can’t see St Helens beating us for years unless the rumours are true. Jamie Lyon is coming back to St Helens? I very doubt it. He has a point to prove down under and I think he will next season.
I say bring on the battle!

Matter of opinion, I don't agree, but fair enough.
We then have the declining star in Sean Long who I am glad is back tomorrow. It keeps that Mattie Smith out of the game and that's make me happy that Leeds don’t have to face another young spark like James Roby.
This is where the mushrooms had clearly started to kick in. Long might be past his very best, but he's still a key link man for them, and I'm glad he's out, whereas you're glad he's back. How does that work?
If Leeds had a choice to have Nick Fozzard or Kylie I think there made their decision ages ago. Fozzard is a good prop but he is only in that dream team because of the commentaries love of St Helens and their unsung players.
Almost speechless. Fozzard leaving Leeds was the right decision at the time, but I'm sure we'd love to have him back now.

I would remind you that Saints topped the table, so I'm not sure how you intend to demonstrate Leeds' "better team all round." Good luck though.

Cant remember Ablett changing games very often but certainly remember Thackray doing so!
For all Thackrays faults he certainly brings far more to the squad than Carl Ablett ever has or ever will.

So Ablett isn't as likely to drop a clanger then?
I remember seeing a few line breaks from Ablett recently. That's something he could bring isn't it?

then again, not like any of them matter in rugby

| I simply believe Thackray brings a lot more to the game than Ablett has, Ablett is workmanlike but in fairness often drops off tackles.
It isn't that I think Ablett doesn't have plus points, its that I personally would choose Thackray over him every time.

Did is break not change the game against Hull KR at Headingley?
The argument should not be Thackray or Ablett but Thackray or Bailey?

I'd say Thackray or Kirke myself.
Personally I would have gone with Jamie. Yes he makes mistakes but he offers more in attack than Kirke, who despite being eager appears limited.

| I expect (and hope) that tonight will really see the kind of intensity you only get from finals rugby, and in that case the error count could be really crucial. That's likely to be in TS' thinking. 2 or 3 dropped balls in your own territory could cost you the game in this kind of match.

| My argument would be Kirke or Ablett with Kirke just getting the nod as he is more steady and reliable. Ablett is more of a game breaker than Kirke, but we have enough in the squad so Kirke for me is a better option.

why do we persist with burrow - short and liable to get the odd head shot. He gets knocked out and we're a sub down!

Because when his mind is on the job and he's close to 100% fit he's an absolutely class act and can win games for us.

I've got a feeling this will be a special night for Ali. Hopefully coming back to peak fitness at just the right time in the season. We know he's capable of something special.

| Some more wailing and gnashing of teeth here when Thackray was omitted from the Leeds squad for the Saints playoff game.
The Joker 9how apt) calling his omission a "shambles".
