| To me it points to some financial problems or a change in priorites at Saints. He won't be on much and he's passed his best. Not a great resigning for me.
Maybe the new stadium is more of a drain that we've given it credit for. If they're rebuilding we could remain top dogs for a few more years yet.

I've already mentioned stats in comparison to KL, I don't need to look at Bailey's stats to know Fozzard works harder. I've just looked at Burgess and Fozzard works harder than him also.
Look yourself if you want, I CBA listing them all to prove what is an obvious point to anyone with eyes.

Fozzard:
Appearances - 21
Metres - 1974
Carries - 295
Tackles - 515
Leuluai:
Appearances - 27
Metres - 1952
Carries - 277
Tackles - 514
Kirke:
Appearances - 16
Metres - 855
Carries - 123
Tackles - 342
Burgess:
Appearances - 26
Metres - 2015
Carries - 284
Tackles - 438
Bailey:
Appearances - 17
Metres - 1095
Carries - 183
Tackles - 344
He does quite well in comparison really. Not a world beater, but good support to have when putting him alongside Graham, Puletua and Fa'asavalu.

What Saints need is a workhorse to take the pressure off Graham, but one that is more effective than Hargreaves (bigger and more damaging in the tackle). An experienced prop who will carry the ball and take the team forward.
We have Maurie, Puletua and Soliola for impact next year. We need a worker so we're not flogging Jammer.
So I'm focussing on carries, metres and tackles - not unusual benchmarks for that sort of prop I'm sure you'll agree.
As an aside, I find it quite funny that this board has been full of complaints over the year that the Leeds props aren't supporting Peacock enough, but scream when it is suggested there may be a more workmanlike prop playing elsewhere?

What are the stats for quick PTBs? How many tackles were dominant or solo? Whats the offloads comparison like? Maybe most important for trying to compare props - what's the comparative gametime?

Or to put it another way you've ignored less palateable stats and focussed on the stats that might best bolster your defence of what seems a shocking signing, even despite their being without any context of game time.
To quote the big bald fella: deary me today.

Fair enough, stats only give away so much, it doesn't give the whole picture. Fozzard, whilst no world beater is a good option and considering we've had no Cayless all year, it is an improvement on what we have.

Fair enough, you think it's a shocking signing, I don't.
A big problem for us is the VOLUME of work Jammer is being asked to do, so I'm just saying we've signed a player who in my opinion is capable of sharing that workload well.
Tell me where they store stats on quick PTB and game time and I'll look at them, otherwise I can only go on what I see with my own eyes, which the available stats support.

It may prove to be worthwhile like the Paul Anderson deal did but it looks a shocker to me at this stage. In the Nathan Mcavoy to Leeds class.

No he doesn't.
Kirke, Leuleui and Burgess make more meters per carry (we have a squad so we can rotate our props ).
Despite playing 5 games less (the apparantly amusing to you) Kirke has more tackle busts and clean breaks, Burgess has over double the tackle busts and has 25 offloads compared to Fozzards 2!
Bailey, who has played 4 games less, has double the tackle busts, clean breaks and offloads.
I wouldn't swap Fozzard for any of them, why do you think it's a good idea?

You've not quoted any stats! You just stated he appears to make more carries, more yards, tackles etc. That's not stats. Stats means numbers pal. I hope he would make more yards in more carries... And if he has spent more time on the pitch than KL then I hope he would have made more tackles! I am asking you to give us the info you based your comments on so we can have the chance to agree with you.

To put the above into something decent.
Fozzard's Meters per carry isn't as good as: Kirke, Leuluai or Burgess. Although Bailey isn't that far behind. N'uff said?

| Metres per carry is a totally meaningless statistic. You are suggesting that a player who hides on the wing and makes one carry for 15 metres is better than Graham who makes 30 carries for 210 metres.

I suspect it wouldn't be meaningless if Fozzard had 8 metres per carry
However, offloads, tackle busts and breaks are far more important, so I agree there. Want to compare those?

Metres made is an important stat, only a Rhino would suggest otherwise.
Metres per carry means bob all, because it's only valid for comparing two players who made the same amount of carries.
