You do understand that the reason that Leeds had a massive windfall of cash from the Gateshead Merger was due to Gary owning the club. I'm not 100% that they still own Gateshead so a little confused why you guys are so interested in this question.

Maybe you need to look closer to home and a move to a new stadium and partnership with Wakey?

Frankly as an FC fan I can't stand Pearson, he's nothing short of a mercenary with little knowledge of the game which has hindered him several times over. I actually don't think he's a very good people person either (which has damaged us on more than a few occasions) and comes across as a bit of an over opiniated loudmouthed kn0b.

I unlike many of our 'fans' on the forum here can see that he isn't any good for our club, he won't be around long IMO. I don't get the fawning/sock filling types who think he's doing us a favour with his cash...he'll cash all that back in and some, I've no doubts about that..

Having seen Fat Boy's postings for a number of years, I don't know why but I just get this feeling he doesn't like Hull the place.

This is an unusual one... Normally if people are going to stir up a hornets nest they don't do it on their own board and normally do so on the VT. I don't think most Rhinos supporters are bothered either way by either Hull club or a merged variant.

I would guess that rather than merging 2 medium sized clubs (some FC fans would feel they were bigger than medium) that the RFL have bigger fish to fry and I could (but will not) suggest a number of smaller clubs (championship and SL) that for the good of the game would suit a merger better.

As a Rovers fan I grow tired of the dismissive attitude, over the improvements that my club has made in the last 7 years. The focus for the last few years has been to deliver on our promises to the RFL to improve Craven Park with a new £7mn stand (I wish others were so fastidious in delivering on what they told the RFL in their licence applications.) Hopefully attention will now turn to other areas in which we haven't been as good, but time will tell on that one!
