| Quote ="SaintsFan"Nope. We would have caught you, just as we did. Had we not made a forward pass, we would have been in the lead within a minute of the second half starting. Or had Paul Wellens not dropped the ball with the tryline wide open to him, we would have been in the lead.
Regardless of the what ifs, I've seen enough of Leeds play over the years to know that you were there for the taking last night. Had Leon not left, we would have taken you. | I thought Pryce wasn't that special. In fact, watching the game back the Sky commentary team mention his lack of involvement.
How the idiot Saints fan and idiot Gotcha can say we would have definitely lost if Pryce is on the field is beyond me. Actually, with Gotcha it isn't, he's an idiot.
I mean, it's since he left Bradford how many times have we been tortured at the hands of Pryce? Were either of these two idiots at any of the last three Grand Finals? Personally, I think the Leeds players can more than handle Pryce.

| Quote ="G1"I thought Pryce wasn't that special. In fact, watching the game back the Sky commentary team mention his lack of involvement. '"
Phil Clarke did but the sensible, intelligent Irish guy spoke words of wisdom. Pryce has a laid back style. Anyone who watches his involvement in a game with even a smidgen of knowledge about the game, knows that he is always involved. He has been excellent this season and since Kyle was injured he has been outstanding. He is always organising, he works hard defensively and he chimes in for attack as and when the opportunity arises as well as creating opportunities, for himself and for other players.
Quote How the idiot Saints fan and idiot Gotcha can say we would have definitely lost if Pryce is on the field is beyond me. Actually, with Gotcha it isn't, he's an idiot. '"
Because we were giving you all kinds of trouble and he was instrumental in it, as he has been so often this season (with other teams I mean). Without him, who has been our key organiser and play maker this season, we were always going to struggle. Eastmond's loss we have adapted to and even performed our best so far this season at Wigan when he wasn't around. But without Pryce it was unlikely we would be able to create plays and maintain the momentum.
Saints have played you too often for Saints fans not to realise when you are not playing well and when we have the upper hand. Even with our missed opportunities and wrong options, of which there were quite a few, we had you nailed in that match. That you only beat us by four points when we were hit so hard I think says it all. Last season you would have tonked us in the same situation and I am amazed if you cannot see the difference in your own team.
Anyway, that is why this idiot says that with Pryce on the field we would have won.

Anyway, hypothesize all you want. Might have and could have don't win matches and they didn't win for you yesterday.

Go ahead. In two of them you will see Meli making his usual cockups. There are 13 men on the pitch for each side. Losing a Grand Final isn't down to one man, but Meli can't half make a difference.

To us you're Leeds. It's only Sky who like to call you champions. To be respected as champions in a season when you are the previous year's champions you need to play like champions. Wigan are playing like champions this season; you are most certainly not. Your purple patch in the first half followed our loss of Eastmond. We came back at you in the first half, resulting in us going into halftime level. We scored first, too, remember? Then in the second half, we crossed the line only to be denied but we were actually eight points ahead of you when we lost Pryce on 58 minutes. Now, granted, in terms of attack, it was all you after that. But then we had lost Eastmond and Pryce and also Dixon (leaving us with no interchanges for 20 minutes). Had you lost Sinfield and McGuire and one of your young forwards, do you think you would have been inspired in attack?
We still managed to hold you to just four points.

| Gotta agree with Gareth, never thought we looked uncomfortable, even when we went behind early in the second half I knew we'd still win it. Pryce, the try apart, was his usual unseen self and to be honest we'd have still won with him and Eastmond in the pitch.
Looked to me like Leeds didn't get out of second gear because they didn't need to.
Saintsfan, why are you so bitter about Leeds? Occasionally you post quite sensible stuff but then spoil it with a ridiculous anti-Leeds jibe like your assertion on the Saints board that the Leeds club have a problem with racism because some fans booed pryce and Eastmond when they went off! get a grip div!

THROUGHSAINTSSPECSTACULAR!
So despite winning it 3 years in a row we don't get the respect of champions? Come on pal. If winning it 3 years in a row isn't enough to gain respect what is? Yes we haven't been as good as the last few years this season but we are just trundling along nicely thankyou very much. Apparently injuries can't be used an excuse so I hope you aren't leaning on these here.
Also, seen as your so keen to split the game into parts I'd say you didn't really hold us to 4 points. That was the margin of victory yes but in those last 20 minutes, which you seem to be using to big up the rest of your team without Eastmond, Pryce and Dixon, you lost by 12. You can't have it both ways son.
