Being unable to fulfill a home fixture is ridiculous. We own our ground not the ECB ffs.

Lots of complaining online about how it's our ground and shouldn't be dictated to by the cricket. Where are our dressing rooms this year? We're using their facilities all this year, can't complain if they want them for themselves for a significantly financial big match for them. This is just part of the problem of the stadium reconstruction for this year.

You must be delighted with the draw though, even though the game is at Fev....v 5th placed Championship Club Leigh. I was hoping us Centurions would have got Catalans or Huddersfield at the LSV, we might have had a chance of beating one of those 2. Guess all other clubs will be wanting Catalans or Huddersfield in the Semi's....including us !

In-ger-land are playing in the football at Elland Road so that is being used already too.

Looking at that fev pitch you'd have thought Leeds would rither play on the lsv pitch than the fev one,it's a shocker and the grounds pretty poor also to give up home advantage and risk players going over on their ankles ect because of the state of the pitch seems more of a risk than going lsv

I was there other week for Fev v Batley, and nothing wrong with playing surface, very good in fact. Only issue with Fev is the slope. But the fact a so called top super league club can not play a cup match at home, because of another sport all together, is somewhat embarrassing regardless.

I'm only going off looking at the pitch when they played hull and it was poor

England will have Elland Road locked out for the week. Chances are that both teams will be holding training sessions on or around that date.

Leeds are fulfilling a fixture. The home club has to provide a venue, they have provided one in Featherstone.

Test cricket is a much bigger money-spinner than a Challenge Cup quarter final.

Could have played it at Bramley`s ground or Stanningley or South Leeds all in Leeds

Was no chance of it being a Sunday game with St Helens v Hull FC & Warrington v Wigan.

That's the way I saw the switch of venue too
Why should we give home advantage away to Leigh when we can comfortably offer a sensible venue that can easily accommodate this fixture?

Elland Road isn't our home but we've played games there. Millwall isn't Wigan's home but they played a home fixture there the other year. Wembley isn't Spurs home ground, Widnes wasn't Saints real home ground when they played there for a season in 2011.

If we'd have decided to play the entire season at Odsal whilst the stadium work was going on would it be ok if we weren't playing this at Headingley.

Yes as you say hopefully Leeds hull Warrington hudd/Catalan make the semis but for all your sarcasm it won't interest you so better focus on your magic weekend trophy

The switch to ER was a no brainer given the building works , & all the others listed were pre-agreed pre-arranged regular fixtures.
Also if we played a season away from Headingley so be it.
This is a cup qtr final drawn at random we are the home side & cant fulfill the draw.
Its the same with Wigan in the play offs why bother with a draw if you cant play at your home ground?

This is a a no brainier because of the building work, we've been using the cricket sides facilities this year. Where are the dressing rooms going to be if we can't use the cricket side and it's not just a place for players to change into kit you'll need proper medical/physio areas at this level now, can't just have them in the car park.

This will have been pre arranged you could tell by how quickly they announced it, Leeds will probably have know for a while but their was no need to announce it before because we could've easily been drawn away or even knocked out in previous round which would've left the issue non existent. Just because something wasn't made public doesn't mean it wasn't in the pipeline

We can fulfill this game just like we could fulfill our league game vs HKR. The only difference is the fans got more notice but as I said until this weekend past their was no guarantee we'd even be in the Quarter Finals.

Personally I don't see an issue.

We have to remember that all this building work going on has to be paid for to the tune of £35m how the hell Leeds and Yorkshire are going to ever pay that back I have no idea but a test match at Headingley I am sure will help Yorkshire fund some of their obligation.

In the meantime some sacrificises are going to have be made until the building work is complete and this is just one of them. In fact once the building work is complete sacrifices will have to be made as we are going to have to pay rent to fund the new stands.

Is going to Fev to play a Cup QF so much of a pain?? No it's not.

I would rather be going to Fev than be out of the cup as we nearly was on Fri or have travel back over M60/M62 again which is a total nightmare on a Fri night these days.
