I think he will go ok-ish, but perhaps not really where we should be looking to move things forward.

if we think we had some hammerings this year ,I dare not think about next season.If he club is consentrating on financing the new downscaled southstand! and cant afford to strengthen the team with Trophy winning quality.Maybe its time to look for new investors or maybe new owners?

In fairness I find it hard to imagine how current squad + Richard Moore is actually worse than current squad?

We lose Ali and Senior, who we haven't had for most of this season anyway. I hope we have something more in The Sleeve, but if the squad remained exactly the same it would probably go better next year than this.

New coach.... maybe. But with the same squad and the same coach, we're not making the play offs, and that's coming from a guy who was once excited about the new big screen.

Why? Contrary to some postings, we have a lot of young players in the squad. I don't think it's unreasonable to hope that they will be better players at the start of next season than they were at the start of this.

Besides which, I think the right coach would probably have been worth 6 league points this year on his own. I can't prove that, obviously.

Just changing the coach (subject to who it is) we will finish higher than we do this season. Change any player you like, with this coach we will finish lower next season.

Quite likely. I did qualify my post (I certainly intended to) with the change of coach as a key feature.

in reality IMHO he offers nothing better than what was at the club already and does nothing to delight the fans and bring in the merchandise. who wants a Richie Moore action figurine? who will want to have his number on the shirt?

Nobody is comparing him to Burgess, in terms of "we'd rather have Burgess". Burgess isn't an option, we know that. Nobody has said "Why did we sell Burgess then sign Moore?". Everybody knows Burgess was going anyway.

That said... we've only lost one prop, and only signed one prop. So it is quite right to make comparisons. People are asking why Burgess hasn't been replaced with somebody of a similar calibre, not why Burgess isn't here.

True...but even if we suggest he is a replacement for Cross it is still difficult to understand with both Amor and Ambler back from loan. Both are at least as good with much more to come .. They have age on their side with the capacity to be the cornerstones of the Leeds pack for many years to come: Snore doesn't.

Amor has gone well this year. I remain a little underwhelmed with Ambler, so I'm wary of burdening him with the "future of the pack" tag at this point. I haven't seen that much of him though, so I may have the wrong impression of him.

It wasn't that long ago that most on here preferred Ambler
and had written off Amor.
Either way both are better than Kirke ( and Kylie ) ( and Moore ) for kicking on in 2012.

Of the three Moore could be better than the has-been and the never- has-been.... But having all THREE next year ( especially with our present esteemed incumbent coach ) is the kiss of slow lingering death of a club, that has had its halcyon days well and truly numbered.

Decent player with plenty of aggression and go forward , someone had concerns over his temperament , personally I would welcome someone with a bit of genuine mongrel about them .

Not a stellar signing by any means , but if it means Kirke never plays prop again its fine by me.

P.s. I remember Wigan fans being just as underwhelmed when they signed Coley , but that didnt turn out too badly .

I don't understand this signing, can anyone explain it to me? Why have we signed an ordinary 30+ year old Prop on a 3 year contract, when we already have a number of 30+ year old props?

If he was a world beater, or had significant room for improvement in him, then maybe I could understand it, but this makes no sense whatsoever.

I think he may have been drafted in as a replacement for Amor who I think might be coming to Wakey full time, we'll have to see.

Nothing left for it but to hope he comes good and live up to his 'huge potential' label although I'm not holding my breath that we have the coach that could do that as he doesn't seem to be able to bring the best out of the group of internationals he took charge of.

It is a crap signing imo, but lets till we see what happens or doesnt happen.If we dont sign anyone of note then the writing will be on the wall, we then prepare ourselves for a very unsuccessful period until the ground redevelopements are paid for,because to me its looking ominous
