Even Daily Mail questioning Leeds may not be too keen to select Catalans.

Is there anyone out there who doesn't believe Leeds will pick Catalans rather than winner from tonight?

After watching last nights game i thought Catalans all the way for Leeds next week. But then Nathan Brown said he would be suprised if Leeds pick Catalans. He said Catalans can physically stick with Leeds and Leeds should avoid them. He is correct Catalans on paper have the strengh in the pack to boss Leeds' pack. But in the history books every time Catalans have come to Leeds they have got a roasting.

I wouldn't like to be Bluey or GH! I suspect all the coaching staff and GH will be watching tonights game together...give it a good analysis...up until 2am...then get a conclusion!

If Hull KR get through tonight, it may look an good option to try a repeat of last Friday.

But the frogs are the dead cert I'd imagine.

I think Saints should be worrying.

Catalans bossed Saints a couple of weeks back. Hull KR have done the double over Saints this season. And finally Wigan are more than capable of giving Saints a good physical test.

Your under-estimating Catalans mate. They have been playing really gritty as of late. OK there not the most fluent in attack but there defence has been solid and they have been grinding results out. Catalans have the ability to slow the ruck down and frustrate Leeds. And if Leeds fall for Catalans frustration tatics Leeds could lose the game plan. Nathan Brown is a quality coach and he wouldn't have said those things just for the sake of it - it his genuine opinion.

But dispite those things above i think i would prefer Catalans over Wigan i think.

They are a grinding team but Leeds can more than match them in that area.

As for their attack, Leeds have boxed them in at Headingley and haven't troubled us, they've been blown away.

I mean if Leeds would have hit them with the same defence that KR had to edure last Friday in the opening 20, Leeds would have posted some serious points.

True, another away game will certainly take a bit out of them. Aye, take id take Catalans but if they still have some energy and the Leeds forwards are not on song it could be a bit tricky.

I suppose now may be a fine opportunity to mention that if Leeds do pick the frogs will they be going into the GF 'under-done' ?????

Surely, the main point is that whoever we choose at this stage of the competition - one game away from the GF - will (or should) be a stern test.
Knowing what's at stake I'd expect us to be able to beat any of the remaining teams at home.
I cannot believe that the Catalan tactics against us would be those they used last night.
I'd select the Dragons for reasons I mentioned elsewhere repeated by others on here. Travelling for 4 successive weeks has to disrupt preparation and eventually catch up with them.
Plus it has the undeniable ;ogic that this is what would have happened without the club call.
We may not agree with the concept but it hasn't half generated some debate so for that reason alone it could be termed a resounding success.

I think Nathan Brown talks rubbish a lot of the time. I can remember at the beginning of the season he came out with words to the effect of 'Every superlaegue coach when giving an interview always talks about how Huddersfield are a dirty team, regardless of whether they are plalying us or not, just to get Huddersfield in trouble.'

A total no-brainer , it will be the Dragons , easily the weakest choice of whats left . Leeds would have smashed them last night , a woeful Huddersfield actually made these turkeys look good ! The only way they will make OT is if Leeds dont turn up and that wont happen .. Dragons next Friday and the Rhinos by plenty ...
