Yes not impressed if all those Sunday games stay on Sundays rather than going back to Fridays. Not great IMO.

The first Sunday game is the weekend after the easter double header which makes sense.
The second Sunday game (Catalan) may be because the stadium is hosting the cricket WC on the Saturday so isn't available for Friday night? Not been an issue before but maybe.
But the third one is Hull which makes no sense on a Sunday as far as I can see.

Poor decision not to advise the season ticket holders of 4 aawy games, and very tight home games.
Also the club have just said, following feedback from the club’s Supporters Board and direct feedback from fans, the Rhinos are pleased to include three home games on Sunday afternoon’s at Emerald Headingley. Not a happy bunny !!!!!!

Yes, we're going to miss Catalans and Saints at home as they are in the middle of the main summer school holidays and we already have a holiday booked. We usually expect to miss one match but it is frustrating to miss two of the better fixtures.

I want them to play whenever I'm available and preferably on the pitch opposite my house! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!

Theres nothing better than finishing work for Friday nights under the lights at Headingley for me. Great start to the weekend and leaves the rest of it free for other pursuits.

Absolutely, that's the club's gameday and it's worked for over two decades with maybe one Sunday afternoon family game thrown in each year. At a suburban ground like Headingley it works well.

Yep. I am not a Rhino, but you can't beat a stroll up Otley Road in the Friday evening sunshine, calling at Arcadia for some good beers & chat, chips at Brett's, a good game of RL. Heaven.

We also had a big injury handicap for most of the year and for the first third struggles to get any of our big props on the field. Had we done so we would have been not far of top four and our performances would have been better.

nowhere near top 4. mid table possibly. continually picking a half back who wasn't interested and was hiding didn't help either

We would have been firmly in the top four and fighting for 2nd. 7 close games that we lost by 1/2 pts or drew. As bad as a season we have had we werent that far off.

This on top of a shocking injury crisis.

One more marquee signing, or two decent signings could see us lifting silverware in 2019.

Wish i could share the optimism.

As it stands our back line looks ok with the addition of Hurrell but losing Hall is going to impact us. Jury is out on the two new halves, not as if they come in with great pedigree but they could work out well, hopefully.

As it stands the pack is still not good enough, especially up front. Our pack is inferior to Saints,Wigan,Cas,Warrington and Catalans without doubt imo.

I agree the table doesn’t lie. We were the 9th best team in 2018. However the table also shows we only needed 6 additional points to achieve 5th place. Which, when you consider we lost 5 games by a max of 3 points and drew another, shows we weren’t far off competing for the top 4.

We weren’t good enough and need new players but if a few games had gone slightly differently, especially early in the season, I think our season would have had a different feel to it.

We were crap last year. So we’re most other teams which is why we were only a few points off 5th. We were still crap though, and the club know this.

You couldn’t say that about Widnes, but your point is valid, which also shows you don’t have to improve much to radically improve your position in the table. As I said turn 50% of the games we lost by 3 points or less around and we’re in 5th place. That doesn’t require a massive improvement.

There is then a gap between that and being a genuine competitor for the Grand Final, but that’s an issue for all clubs bar Saints, Wigan and Warrington and will come with time if we can keep a core ethos and stability in the team.
