Show's a lack of ambition from Briscoe chosing Leeds over Wigan. Wigan are a team on the rise while Leeds are clearly on the decline. All their best players are coming to the end of their career.

Wigan giving old Leeds a good pasting last week was a prime example of things to come.

I agree with some of what you say regarding leeds ageing players, but you are talking as if wigan are champions.

You do have a very promising spine to the team, with good exciting young players, but so do Leeds. We have 2 or 3 exceptional players to replace in the next 2 years, but we have started the transition already

There's two comps to win, the GF or CC, this year Wigan have won one and are in the final for another, basically they've had the most successful season of all clubs.

Tom Briscoe a top signing for us. IMO we now have 3 of the 4 best English wingers in the game on our books now. Strength in depth! Now all we need is a proper top quality hooker!

The luck of the draw plays a big part in the challenge cup. For example this year wigan played one team who finished in the top 8 of the league. Thats not to discredit their efforts but that shouldnt be ignored.

Did Leeds wanna win the CC? Yes, obviously, all the teams did.
The playoff system suits Leeds, with an old team they couldn't perform consistantly week in/week out and win the league, they've proven that time after time, and this season they were smacked by a younger better team (Wigan) who knocked them out.
