The Wonder Years - The Upsides.

I personally love Muse and would probably say they are my favourite band and think they have improved with age.

Each to their own I guess.

Up their own @rses? Maybe, I wouldn't know, but there are definitely echoes of Queen in their last 2 albums, and I thought they were good on Saturday, though the coverage didn't do them justice I think.

As an aside, don't most bands evolve and change after becoming established. Most of the good bands I can think of have. I know plenty of people who were mortified when 80's Queen came out, as it was such a massive change.

Like wise I just don't like Queen at all, my brother bought all of their albums and I'd have cheerfully melted all of them on top of the gas stove, the only good thing I can think to say about any of their work is that they added to this country's export figures.

have I ever told you I have met someone who is on the Sgt Peppers sleeve?

I prefer the White Album to Abbey Road and Let It Be to be honest. My favourites are Rubber Soul, Revolver and Sgt. Peppers. That said, I hardly ever listen to any of their stuff anymore. I occasionally walk past the Beatles museum in Liverpool and the sound of Octopuses Garden or whatever blaring out of the tinny speakers makes me want to run a mile.

I prefer the Grey Album

I remeber McClazza recommending some Stones to me maybe a year ago? ish. It was good gear too I hadn't heard alot of it either.

Some quality from Mick and his buddies i actually got Hot Rocks 1&2 whilst in Montevideo for about £3 quid!

Giving We are Scientists-Barbara it's first listen.

Have to say, sounding pretty good, much more like the first album.

It could be a grower, but nothing more than a couple of tracks worthy of a listed for me ATM.

Space bound is one of my early favourites.

t'was probably Goats Head Soup, the album I listened to the most when in America in Feb '74, I bought it in a huge Woolworths in Las Vegas along with Jeff Becks "Truth" album - no means of playing music to yourself in those days of course, MP3's were a thing of science fiction even Walkmen were ten years hence so I had to wait until I got home to play them properly but that Stones album was all over every radio station in Nevada and California that month.

Yeah it was that. Good recommendationings young Field.
