I saw on Twitter recently that SL was selling some og his gear on Ebay. Boots & a training top I think.
Not sure on exact price, but both went for less than £10

If SL has serious aspirations about making decent money on Ebay he needs to move to Leeds

I'm astonished that anyone would actually buy that. They can just trot out any old rubbish and people just lap it up. £46.50 for something you can't wear beyond December. Come on people, at least make the club work for their money.

Anyone who buys either of those kits should be locked up, quite frankly.

Would never buy or even wear that top in a million years....yet I still quite like the idea. It's novelty and cheesy and a bit of fun that some people will like enough to buy, no harm done (although I await the moaners that always make out that people are forced to buy every single shirt released). Bit annoyed though that they've made the Leeds Building Society logo look so small and descreet on this top whilst it's oversized presence ruins the home shirt.

Just seen this. Adult sizes are sold out apparently so clearly some people have more money than sense. I appreciate that RL struggles to expand and attract outsiders - being from the north east and attempting to talk people into giving the Magic Weekend a go (unsuccessfully) I know - but if anyone up there sees that photo my arguments that RL is a good, honest and professional game will instantly go up in smoke. It is certainly the first two but things but trying to persuade it is professional to newbies if they see such kits being worn by players (and selling out in shops) does no real favours.

So what you're saying (in condensed form) is that Leeds playing in a one-off x-mas kit in a friendly will push potential new fans away?

Do people ever get the feeling that some folk really overthink the whole 'attracting new people to our sport' thing?

It would have been great to have it as a charity top but oh well. I think there should be a charity round during the season with one off tops and proceeds going to selected charities. That would get us some positive exposure. They could even use the magic weekend for it

True, but I wouldn't think LBS are overly concerned about the prominence of their logo on a shirt we'll only wear once.

I suspect it's more down to the new guy in the commercial dept but credit GH for appointing him.
The minutes of the last fans forum make reference to the new bloke's influence on the sales side.
My own thoughts FWIW are that it's up to each individual how they choose to spend their hard earned.
Remember also that all the profit goes into supporting Leeds Rugby PLC not straight into GH's pocket as some would have us believe, which has to be applauded not criticised.

That's exactly what it is. My mum is on the fans forum and apparently this guy has really given it a shake up since he came in. Never misses an opportunity.
