| How dissapointing a read that is. The clubs demise is bewildering and paints a sorry picture.
We appear to have bottom 4 aspirations with the signings of the last 24 hrs, and how can they see Lui as a solution for the next 2 years is beyond me.
The current situation and how we arrived here sits entirely at Hetheringtons door. Nobody elses.
With no disrespect, how the club see Agar as the future Head Coach is yet another joke. The man has clearly stated he doesn't want the job.
I would love a very wealthy benefactor to take over the club and provide the funds for a clear out. A reset and to start again. Clearly this is pie in the sky thinking.

| If that is true nothing will change in 2020 and this will set us back several more years.i'm sure it is giving fans of other clubs a good chuckle if i was an outsider looking in i would find it hilarious.

It amazes me how quickly people have turned against Sinfield, honestly.
Ironically I was frustrated with him at times as a player -
accommodating him meant Burrow got less time than he deserved. However, as a bloke, as a captain, as a mentally tough competitor - rarely seen better. He is Leeds thorough and thorough, intelligent and sets high standards. Also very humble and one of the best winners around.
We don’t know what goes on behind the scenes. GH has done a cracking job with the club off the field, but lost his touch with player recruitment some time ago and KS is now clearing up an almighty mess not of his making.
Some of you seem determined to have knives out for someone who has lifted Leeds to heights I certainly never thought possible. It’s way too early to judge KS when he’s taken on such a big challenge with one arm tied behind his back.

| I think too many are looking at the recent transfers in the context of next year and beyond rather than being all about this season. We're bound to have to make short term decisions.
Mind you, getting rid of Tui is a win on both counts....

| Staggering isnt it. KS needs to be given time and deserves our support. I don't believe Agar is the coach to move us forward but im not going to throw the teddy out if its him who is appointed. Ill be willing to give the guy a chance. I dont however think he will be appointed personally.

| If we snag Hastings or Sezer and another high impact second row or prop, I’d fancy my chances to coach us to at least mid table next year and I’d be g sh.

| All the people saying Agar doesn't want the job have you not realised yet that hes actually doing the job?
If he doesn't want it why is he doing it?
As a coach do you honestly think he would turn it down?
As for KearuJim's comments on Sinfield I couldnt agree more. He signed for Leeds as a child and was our most successful captain ever. One of the greatest servants the club has ever and will ever have. You might not agree with every decision made but at least respect that he is making his decision for what he believes is right for the club. Hes the right man for the job and needs and deserves time to take us back to the top.

Sinfields playing career here or love for the club doesnt automatically make him the right choice or good enough for the DOR role.

| Course not.
However, whilst the buck stops with Sinfield, I don't think anyone can entirely blame him for the mess we've been in. GH is the one constant over the past few years and the deterioration in the squad is clearly down to him in the main.
Sinfield messed up a few early decisions, but even then I can sort of understand his logic re Ablett and JJB - he wanted to keep some of the Golden Generation culture around. Clearly hasn't paid off and is a waste of cap space and I didn't agree with it, but it makes a certain amount of sense. Furner was clearly a big mistake, again in retrospect. But he wasn't a tyro (as some kept repeating) - he coached Raiders first grade for several years and was an experienced assistant in the NRL. I thought he'd go OK, but it didn't work out.
Beyond the above I'm not sure what else you could blame Sinfield for? Crosby presumably passed a medical before signing, most of the others until this week have been squad players. Even then they were signed under Furner, particularly Merrin who he seemed desperate to get. Sinfield could possibly be asked to explain why w have spent marquee money on positions that aren't vital to success, but he was also hamstrung by Lolohea having been signed to play 6 and a roster full of sub-par players on contracts that are way too long.

It doesn’t make him the wrong choice either, until we see the results after that sufficient time. So far nobody can say he has had enough time.

I can still see a scenario where we survive the drop with these new faces and he takes the job for next season after being offered it.
Really we should have someone in place now or set up for next season and coming in back end of the year after the Furner axing or why axe him before the end of the season anyway? That is looking more ridiculous by the day.
Like others have said, its not case of toys out of pram if Agar stays on just a realisation or exasperation that it is going to keep us down in the doldrums for longer.

| I do wonder whether the intention was always to have Agar coach this year, but the club had been managing the PR of that.
Whatever, we are where we are and we’re probably best trying not to confuse the messages or complicate anything for the players at this stage.
We should have enough quality in our squad now to stay up, it’s down to player performances and maybe a bit of luck.

I would like to see a “proper” coach in place to take over from this off season.
However there should be some more signings to come and the playing squad could be decent for 2020 suddenly - if they get it right.
Maybe not a silverware year but you would expect Leeds to improve.
Sinfield won’t want another Furner and it will have to be the right coach - probably someone who is currently contracted or even happy at their current club.

| Of course Agar said publically he doesn't want the job as he already has another job at the club. If he goes out publically and says he wants the job and doesn't get it he looks a bit of a fool and would look like a kick in the teeth.
As a coach he wants the job. He wouldn't be doing it if he didnt want it. Not many coaches would turn the Leeds job down if offered it certainly not coaches at the status of Agar.
If the club thought Agar would be accepted by the fans he would have been appointed already. He is respected and trusted by Sinfield and it's his job to lose as I've said from the start.

Totally agree and the last point is key to this in my eyes.
Sinfield seems to wield a lot of power so whoever comes in will be expected to work in a way that Sinny wants. Furner paid the price for that.

Furner didn't pay the price for that. Furner paid the price for falling out with a player, and unfortunatley it happend to be just the one player the club wouldn't accept.
