| Worth remembering it’s also Danny Mags’ final game before retirement tomorrow too. He’s had some cracking games still for HKR this year and will always be an absolute icon of the glory years.

McGuire is my favourite player from the SL era, really wished he had seen his final years out at the Rhinos rather than at Hull KR TBH

| I'm not a Leeds fan by any stretch of the description but I have a huge admiration for JJB. His infectious enthusiasm, unquestioning loyalty to Leeds and his fellow players set an example to all. Also strikes me that if he was not a great player why did you keep him for 20 years!! As others have said, he will also have a huge amount to contribute to the future development of your club and players.

| As others have said, the guy is Mr Leeds - should be kept involved with the young players in some capacity.
In many ways JJB epitomises what the good years were built on - honest graft and determination to succeed despite limitations.
Some of the young lads coming through have the take the responsibility now to set the tone for the next wave.

Of Alfie Solomons lol. I think the club will recognize what a natural talent he is and offer him a high profile fro t of house job

I'm sure he'll be offered some kind of role within the club, too much of a big personality and loyal person to just let go.

| JJB is Mr Leeds, it's almost inconceivable that he doesn't stay in some capacity. He would be perfect for running the corporate side as front of office for example.

| I think he’d be a brilliant mentor for the young lads coming through. If you want to instil a bit of what it means to be a Leeds Rhinos man, JJB is perfect.
Probably a hybrid role but I do think he needs some input with player development.
Imagine as a young lad you’ve got Chev Walker, Rob Burrow, JJB, JP and Sinfield knocking about. I know we can be guilty of a bit of a “jobs for the boys” thing but my word there’s some inspiration walking the corridors at HQ now.

| Quote BrisbaneRhino="BrisbaneRhino"Really? He was solid in the GF wins, but never a standout. McGuire and Burrow played major roles in wins. As did Sinfield. In terms of impact in one or more GFs he'd be behind the likes of JP, Leuluai, Lauti'iti, Diskin, Ablett, Webb, Lee Smith, Donald, Senior and Hardaker. He'd be in any 17 'best of' team to reflect the era, and his contribution shouldn't be overlooked, but lets not pretend he was as influential as some others.
Every successful team has players fans like and the rest of the squad value highly both on and off-field. Some are lucky and play in very successful teams, others just don't (I'm thinking Roy Powell here for some reason, but Dave Heron and many others would qualify).'" #
where would he be in the 17 back rows ahead of him furner, sinfield , ali , ellis , morley , glanville
