Not blinkers or rose tinted.....it's just patience and understanding of unstandable dips in form.

Still room for improvement and we scored 46 points, could've been 60 with better execution especially from Hall and the try the Ze German bombed (no pun intended)

McDermott has actually used his subs well. None of the props have been overplayed and all have stayed fresh.

To be fair that should have been a penalty try IMO.

Yep, Burrow had his best game in months as well.

He always does when the game and scoreline is going well. It's only when we are behind he doesn't use his subs....which is ironic as we are usually behind because we've been poor and had to do too much defending.

All the Leeds pack was superb, and to perform as they did without Stevie Ward makes it even more impressive.
We had some real impact off the bench as well from all 4 subs, even the much maligned Rob Burrow was superb, I thought we battered them, it was like Ivan Drago vs Apollo Creed at times

What a strange game, did not think we were great but how bad were Saints! Luke Walsh was an embarrassment. Hope Wards injury is not as bad as it looked and Zak's going to get a ban so Thursday definitely going to be much much tougher assignment.

I thought Burrow was, for want of a better word, chaotic. Our forwards don't seem to know how to run off him. If Aiton and Burrow are on the pitch at the same time, Aiton has to be the one to go to dummy half. He is superb at engaging the markers.

jimmy keinhorst is looking more and more like a quality SL player with the more game time he gets. Ash Handley, well, I was calling for him to be dropped not so long ago. He's showed strength in character to play himself out of a a run of poor form. Looked quality tonight!

Garbutt looked hungry for work. Very promising! And Kylie? He's a wrecking ball. One of his best performances for us tonight. Loved the show and go in the first half. Also, McGuires talent to get Hall one on one with his opposite winger is quality, only ever going to be one winner.

Aiton and Cuthbertson have both had great seasons, but neither IMO would've done as well if the other wasn't there. A prop need a good hooker, a hooker needs a good prop to excel off his hard work. Burrow has never made those forwards around him look better or lay a platform for them to shine. It's all about Burtow and making a big guy miss him.

Despite the errors from both sides this should not take anything away from what was a terrific victory for Leeds earned by a full team performance including good impact from all the subs. I had suggested Handley should be rested but he showed he has overcome his dip in confidence with a good hat trick.

However I would have gone for Ablett as MOM with Mags close behind. Notable mentions for our elderly props Kylie and JP who were superb and a big tackling stint from Keinhorst. Both our were lively and our performance when we were down to 12 showed the old Leeds winning desire.

I forgot to mention Ablett. Sounds odd with a player his age, but he's very underrated. If he'd come to SL from the NRL opposing fans would offer much more appreciation for his talents

His form has really picked up after a very patchy start to the season. He's one of those players that just oozes class.

...even if Hall bombed another two certain tries and poor Keinhorst had the ball knocked out of his grasp when about to score !! Comprehensive victory though methinks. Wish we could play saint helens more often



Wasn't Ablett's try class? The guy looks back to his best. AND Great to see Handley running and playing with confidence.....this young lad has a great future ahead of him (and to think somebody on here said he was fourth choice winger after Golding !! Doh!). Keinhorst too...the more I see of him the more I like him. He has to be kept. (who would have thought it?)

Kylie rolled back the years and Garbutt looks as though he might be another excellent acquiistion by our great club.

McGuire's passes to Hall...sublime. Fabulous to watch.

Shame about Ward....and what happened to Singleton? Injured? Or is he now down the pecking order with the arrival of Garbutt?
