| Just reading Cockney Giants signature. from what I've seen, all this "Huddersfield are dirty and grapple and scratch and bite" rubbish that seems to be coming out every week looks a load of old balls to me. Grapple tackles are picked out very easily by referees, and the wrestling techniques they may be using are employed by pretty much every side I've ever played for, as well as all the SL and NL clubs.
What does everyone else think?

Have a read of these....from other disgruntled managers.
Quote 27/03/09 Wigan coach Brian Noble "Every team that has played Huddersfield has struggled to go forward.
"I thought we managed it reasonably well but you're never going to get a quick game against Huddersfield - and it's something that needs to be looked at.
'"
Quote 12/03/09 Castleford's Terry Matterson has called for referees to clamp down on 'grapple' tackles in the game.
Matterson felt his side were victims of that sort of tackle during Saturday's defeat to Huddersfield Giants. '"

Phil clarke completely blew noble's whinging out of the water on boot's "n" all.
He highlighted everything he was whinging about and showed that the giant's played better than wigan in every facet of the game
I saw your mob take on cas and matterson had a whinge after and tbh i couldn't see wtf he was whining about!

Huddersfield have already overtaken Bradford, I just hope Leeds get their s[ihi[/it together soon.
Huddersfield are playing some really entertaining football and not the five drives and a kick that passes for rugby at Headingley this season.

| Saw Huddersfield against an admittedly poor Quins. They played some really good football, defended well with lots of shape and discipline - certainly they will give Leeds a good game.
Fancy Leeds even though we are playing plodding rubbish at the moment. Leeds by 12 in a bad tempered scratchy kind of a game.
As I have said before I reckon Hudds are now the 2nd best side in Yorkshire, sadly I can no longer work out who is the first best!!

| The table curently shows the Giants as the best team in Yorkshire at the moment. If you beat us by more than 12 then you can be classed as the best again

| I find it pretty astonishing that we've only missed 8 tackles this season. Those sort of stats are fairly useless IMO, without trying to belittle your post or anything. Still not as bad as the opta index, where Andy Hay would be in our top 5 players every year.

It's part and parcel of the game Matt, even we are told basic wrestling in training from time to time.

| If we lose we'll be 6 points behind St Helens (if they win) and 4 behind Huddersfield. I think Saturday could be a turning point.

| I must say - and congratulate you all - how pleasant it is to read complimentary posts about us. Some of the teams we've played think we're the devil incarnate!
It [ishould[/i be a close game, but, as Durham Giant pointed out earlier, in big games, in front of big crowds, with a point to prove, and with Sky present, we never turn up.
I suggest that the form book will be nothing to go by. Your guys will really be up for this - smarting like a don't know what playing second fiddle to Huddersfield!
Anyway, here's to a good game - and hoping that we can at least do ourselves justice on the telly.

He posted the same stats on the Huddersfield Board.
I pointed out to him there on those missed tackles, that if you go to the players stats and put in Ashley Gibson. It shows 9 missed tackles for him alone. So the 8 is just the usual pants.

| i have scanned a view of the threds since monday. im not suprised one bit by some of the total knackers that has been posted throughtout SS.
some of you are the type of fans we can all do without.
saints last year where worse than we are now for a good part of the season and then were awesome until the GF!! now pundits are saying can anyone stop saints after we lose 4 in 5.
FFS take a deep breath and have some [size=150faith!![/size in what the club are trying to do.
if it doesnt work out then so be it. we can change it next year or the year after.
i first watched leeds around 85/86, ive had a season ticket on and off since 88. i watched leeds through my childhood win nowt apart from a yorkshire cup final!! I love leeds, i love the club. I will still love the club when like the nrl you can win the comp one year and finish bottom next.
if we have a few $hite seasons big deal. i get some much more out of been a fan than watching leeds win every week. to be honest the main thing is enjoying the highs and lows with my friends and family who i go to the games with week in week out and cheering on a bunch of lads who play the toughest game of all.
is this a blip in form or have the wheels fallen off!! i dont know!! i cant read the future!!
yes im gutted about the last few weeks but i will always be a leeds fan!!
role on saturday i cant wait!! personally i think hudds look a well coached solid team. game on!!

| I think you will probably win it quiet convincingly, I wouldn't be shocked if your defeat last last monday acted in the same way as our defeat to Cas last season and was the kick start your season needs.

i dont know if i would go that far!! will have to see!! leeds have only just got something like the full playing roster to choose from, webb and buderus are not really match fit and we are playing a new system! so we have to give that time.
i also feel we won our early season games with a lot of heart and plenty of big names missing. the lads who put in a huge effort to get are season off to a good start look to be feeling it a bit.
at the start of the comp we had sinfield, mcguire, burrow, webb, buderus, senior and jjb out. so im not suprised a few are looking knackerd. webby is nowhere near his best and buderus needs time too, even though i thought he was our best player on monday and was pretty good on friday at the bulls.

Ignore the meaningless team tackle figure, gawd knows where it comes from.
Adding together the individual Leeds players missed tackle totals and subtracting their previous missed tackle totals (it sounds complicated but excel copes pretty well with it,) these are Leeds' missed tackles per each SL game played so far.
