| Going to be a bad one I think.
Honestly,I'd rather see Hooley at FB and Sinfield at HB than Handley/Smith.

I hope that's what he goes with but I just don't think he will from the pre match interview.

| If the reason is that Hooley wants to play in the cup final next week I can live with that. Given Myler's injury he'll get another shot, and our season is pretty much done already with Austin leaving, so letting him prepare for the final with Batley is fair enough IMO. The final will be the biggest game of many players' careers, and it would be a bit petty to make him miss preparation for a game which really doesn't matter much to us. I'd hope to see him get a shot after that though.

Yeah I would be happy with that as well. It’s not like he has been in our side regularly.
I wouldn’t be surprised with a Handley, Nene, Roberts, Martin, Olpherts back 5. How we can line up with such a weak back line is a bigger question though!

| It's Derrell's time to shine! We'll also have a weak set of halfbacks on paper, whichever combination is picked. Its hard to see us playing with any fluency without both Austin and Myler.

You're right infact Handley says this squad are going to do something special?

Wouldn’t have Olpherts or Sangare anywhere near the 17, both absolutely dog $hit

Why’s that? A bloke that big should be punching holes in defences, yet he goes does as soon as contact is made.
He’s garbage.

| He does seem a bit powder puff for a bloke his size. As Barrie Mac has said, it’s not the size of the dog in the fight etc.

| Is Donaldson good enough for a club like Leeds, absolutely not, but I’d pick him over Sangare every day of the week for his willingness. Never see him give less than 100%

| Said it last year when he signed I just don't see a top level prop in sangare and he's not done anything to change that.

| I’m certainly not writing off sangare, he’s young for a prop and he was very good at the World Cup for France where he was punching holes in the D regularly. He will get there

Oh he can do that, but he just goes missing (even during his limited minutes) after making a bit of an impact initially.

| He’s an example of how far standards have dropped. Can you imagine him playing the way he does if JP and Kylie were in the prop rotation with him. Our players simply don’t push each other anything like enough. Sangare has most of the raw tools, but needs to significantly up his work rate and aggression.

In interviews he always sounds just happy to be here, which is great but come on the honeymoons over he needs to kick on and push himself. It's a real balance for a coach to get right, to have the players happy and having fun whilst also pushing to be the best and marrying those values together. Do we have the players, the squad drive and coach that really want it...

Hmmm some rose tints there, we had a few plodders in their time aswell. And a few 5th placed finishes in the league in fact JPs first season with us wasn’t great which he admits himself.
Sangare is young and in his first season with us hopefully he will come good.

| Wouldn't it be great after this week, if after the game, regardless of result we were all talking about Jack Sinfield and his potential. I hope he gets the call up.

| And if he is playing if I were Smith I'd be really getting into that front row to put the work in to give him the space and protection he needs.

Yes me too, it’s a great opportunity for the younger players to have a crack, Id like to see Alfie Edgell given some game time aswell (maybe not today)

| Exactly, that's how we need to use these circumstances that have been thrown up. I'll be so disappointed if we just move players around to cover the gaps and as I've already said, just limp through to the end with the likes of Handley at fb and Smith in the halves.

What I do hope is that the fans don’t get on their backs though if they have poor games, it will happen with young players.

| And looking back on this week, I think I've got my feelings and thoughts on the whole Austin situation and the balance of fault/responsibility, wrong.
