I'd have him to replace BJB

I'd think that if we are going after Briscoe, a winger who's traditionally played on the left for Hull, it would indicate the desire, held by many, being realised of Hall moving into the Left Centre position for Briscoe to play on the left wing. Would also keep Ablett in the forwards. Can't see it as a replacement for BJB, given we already have Chisholm.

Why people insist on moving hall i will never know. Apart from being one of the worlds best singers he's not mobile enough or have good enough hands to be a centre.

Maybe he should go on X Factor if he is that good at singing Tad

Alternatively, it could be that Brian Mac thinks TB has the makings of a top-level left centre. IIRC he played right centre when he first debuted at Hull, as they had Raynor & that Aussie bloke Sing.

and bearing in mind the possibility of him wearing the 4 shirt next year, he's not as small as i thought. Same height as Watkins & Hall, 13st 8lb, so half a stone lighter than Watkins.

Whilst i understand the desire to see Hall get his hands on the ball more, playing centre is still very different to wing and the 2 biggest questions about it would be,
- could he be a good enough provider to his winger (this was Hardaker's major flaw in that position)
- would he cope postionally in defence moving inwards

I'm not convinced on either tbh.

That's the problem with some recruitment, we should see a position we want to recruit someone in and find someone who plays that position. Square pegs in round holes doesn't always work.

When will some on here learn....we aint getting Tom Briscoe or any other 'big name signing': it's all designed to whet the appetite enough for the gullible season ticket holders to renew like the ever faithful sheep they are.

Keinhorst is getting the no.4 shirt next season: like it or lump it. I, for one, hope he proves his doubters wrong and creates a dynamic left wing partnership with Hall.

I wouldn't be too dissapointed with keinhorst getting the centre spot, and I tend to agree I wouldn't be that supprised if our recruitment stops with Achurch.

Fair enough, you will have seen him more often than I have! It's not often Saints make bad choices when it comes to recruitment though...

Regardless of Turner (and I think he's looked pretty useful) St Helens have made up for any shortfall by taking the best second-row in SL off Hull's hands.

Willie Manu will be missed but we have more than an equal replacement lined up.....

Gareth Ellis was (probably still is) an excellent player but didn't have the line-breaking or ball handling qualities of Willie Manu.

They're not the type of assets I expect he's picked up while he's been away either. The NRL managed to remove any finesse once possessed by Adrian Morley and turn him into a robot so it will be interesting to see how Ellis' game has evolved also.

But like the murphys ..............
