Chase is a great little player. If he were available and Leeds were not interested, plenty of other ambitious clubs would be.

I'm sure most clubs in Super League are interested in him. In how many cases that turns into any serious attempt to secure his services is another question.

Chase is very tidy with the ball, and equally bad without it. We shoudln't be looking to trade Burrow in, we should be looking to adjust the style we play to suit the players we have. In the past we have played a "bump and offload" game which was suited to the pace we could offload to in McGuire, Burrow and Webb. All three are now slower than they were in their younger days (McGuire and Webb moreso than Burrow) so we need to adjust the gameplan to suit.

If you dropped Chase into the current Leeds structure he would look crap, so no surprise that we have looked "short" (no pun intended) at halfback this season.

Indeed. Chase won't alter that.

Chase makes thing happen with ball in hand, he's prepared to take the ball to the line and take defenders on and has a good short kicking game in the attacking zones, creating opportunities, building pressure through repeat sets. I'd suggest he would bring to Leeds some of what they are sadly currently lacking at half-back.

Whether Sinfield would appreciate his presence however.

I might be interested in swapping Chase for McGuire.

Thus preventing us from seeing what one of the best support players in the league can do with one of the best players at "making things happen".

We could put him on advertising posters with Ian Kirke, like the Wayne MacDonald - Rob Burrow "Tallest and shortest" posters.

It could be the best player at making things happen and the best player at making absolutely nothing happen....

Rob Burrow has a two yhear contract with Leeds.. They would not pay him off, they have no cash. So they would have to buy Chase £200K plus paying Burrow off £200K. Dont think so.

Not that I disagree with 90% of this, and I'm not saying I think we'll see Rangi Chase at Leeds any time soon, but what makes you think Leeds have no cash?

Obviously if Burrow were to go the other way as makeweight in lieu of some of that transfer fee, some of these obstacles could be removed.

I could accept that we couldnt or probably more likely wouldnt be willing to offer money for him.

I cant see why he wouldnt go to warrington if they were offering "silly money" for him.

The last bit though, i wouldnt want him now anyway, he clearly must have some MHI if he loves the town
