I fail see how anyone could even mention anyone other than Jimmy K, Mitch G & Watkins (honourable mention to Segeyaro, but not played enough to qualify IMO)

How anyone could even contemplate Burrow, I am at a loss to understand. He is more a cause of any problems we have, rather than an answer to them

There isn't a Leeds player that has played to their potential this season - I would abandon the award for this season - anyone winning should be embarrassed to accept.

IMO there's only one choice....

JIMMY KIENHORST.....never failed to give 100%.

Keinhorst close, maybe went through too many games in the 2nd half of the season when he didn't get too much game time. Garbutt has done big metres nearly every week.

That's the fans award. I imagine the clubs top 3 will include Watkins and JJB.

i would give jimmy keinhorst the award,he can certainly hold his head up high as he has been very good this year

mitch garbutt,jjb.ferres and watkins have put some good performances in during our poor season

Jimmy this year has proved is value, he should be in the 17 every week wether that's starting centre/sr or on the bench, but he must be in there, his utility value is fantastic, he could be to Leeds what Sam Panapa was to Wigan in the 90's or similar to Carl Ablet 10 years ago. He is good enough to get a start at just about any other super league club and we don't want to lose him.

Got to be Seggy for me. May have only played a few games but has shown more than most of the rest already.

No disrespect to keinhorst who has done well but nobody has had the impact on the team like Seggy.

Kleinworst 100% especially if you consider where he was a couple of seasons ago so I would say most improved player for Leeds in recent history

Garbutt for me. His form has held up the most, when other's around him (especially down the middle) were crumbling.

He is the only player, the ONLY player that could possibly be considered for anything close to a player of the year. He is by far from perfect, but he is the ONLY one to consistently play to a level, and certainly the ONLY one to have put in more than three or four quality games in the season. I just wonder what people are watching when I see the other opinions, but good luck to them.

I agree that Garbutt has had a good season and he would be my 2nd choice but I still think Jimmy Kienhorst has edged it because of his utility play at centre or SR. Great things to come from him over the next couple of years.
A great replacement for when Abbo calls it a day.

Perhaps they are seeing things from an open minded and unbiased perspective





Bottom line is forwards have tried to stick together but the backs this year have had no leader, no plan and no idea hence why I think Kleinworst stood out as his objective seemed to be run in a forward & straight direction and put ball down when over the line.

As this is an award for player of the season many are ruled out because they have played so few games. Although both Watkins and Garbutt are contenders IMO they both had indifferent starts to the season. Garbutt was way overweight and got himself suspended and Watkins although putting in high tackle counts was for most of the season was in terrible attacking form when we really needed him to step up.

That leaves IMO JJB, Keinhorst and Burrow

Some will have your head for suggesting Burrow. He has been the cause of all our problems dontcha know

2nd highest metre make behind a pack that rarely dominated, the most clean breaks, the most assists, and relatively (for us) few errors.

JJB for me though, despite missing a fair chunk of the year, he has tackled like a demon and munched yards like they were the antidote.

All of our forwards looked like they'd skipped pre season this year. But that punch was one even JP would've been proud of and deserves special mention for player
Of the year.
Jimmy is the outright winner, when the chips were down he looked like the only one with any guile

I'd go for Keinhorst. He was putting in the performances when few others were.

Special mentions to JJB, Galloway and Garbutt

Yes, those four would be the ones i would say have contributed to a decent level expected for the majority of the year.Obviously the addition of Segeyaro helped everyone. Lilley was a rare bonus too, and the experience he has gained through these tough times should prove invaluable. Hopefully he won't have as much on his shoulders next year though.

A season to forget though as a whole and the back slapping needs to be kept to a minimum.

Galloway started slowly but really found his feet and had a good solid year for us, certainly as consistent as Garbutt if you consider the games Mitch missed early in the year.

For me though it has to be JJB, they stuff the guy has managed this year beggars belief coming off that injury, now he still good for a daft penalty or shoot out in defence, but he can take a great deal of pride from this year when not many others can.

Galloway sums Leeds season up perfectly.
